who remembers the original xbox announcement? i was at this unveiling at GDC 2000. bill gates had to put on a leather jacket with an x on the back before unveiling the big X because x stands for cool and you can't be cool without a leather jacket

puzzle 350 / march 16 puzzle for xordle was initially using a target word that was not in the word list, so you couldn't solve it. i added a link to the page to reset the puzzle for that day so you can do a working puzzle instead if you already started.

experimental hard mode added to xordle's settings -- the "starting" clue isn't given right away but revealed one letter at a time as you make guesses

i love it when people send me email to tell me they play xordle every day with their kids or other family, or when a teacher says they play with their students in the mornings. feels wonderful to be a part of something people use to connect with each other

Fun warmle fact: if you get a yellow vowel, you know that position can't be a vowel (with the mild exception in normal mode of yellow u possibly being y and vice versa). Credit to GeoJesser on youtube for this observation youtube.com/c/GeoJesser
