Mitch McConnell is the most consequential US Senator from Kentucky since Henry Clay. His retirement will be a big loss for Kentucky. He was a leader who delivered for the state - whether it was financial assistance to communities, unmatched constituent service, or a voting record that reflected the conservative nature of our state.
As the architect of the modern Republican Party in Kentucky, he recruited and mentored dozens of candidates, including one young attorney from Northern Kentucky who made his first run for political office over 20 years ago and still appreciates his interest in me.

Representative McClain has been a relentless voice for Michigan since her first day in Congress and she helped tear through the blue wall to deliver Michigan for President-Elect Trump. The MFCR is proud to endorse her as House GOP Conference Chair!
Pres. Trump & I brought together a unified coalition of voters in Michigan that represents the modern Republican party.
I’m running to be Conference Chair because this is the approach we need to retain and grow our Conference. I'm ready for the challenge! foxnews.com/politics/swing-s…

I have already contacted the Secret Service for a briefing and am also calling on Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to appear for a hearing. The Oversight Committee will send a formal invitation soon.
My prayers are with President Trump and the victims of the assassination attempt at today’s rally in Pennsylvania. I thank the brave Secret Service members who put their lives at risk to protect President Trump and for the American patriots in the audience who helped others who were hurt. Political violence in all forms is unamerican and unacceptable. There are many questions and Americans demand answers.

Tonight, all Americans are grateful that President Trump appears to be fine after a despicable attack on a peaceful rally. Violence has no place in our politics. We appreciate the swift work of the Secret Service and other law enforcement.

Almost 40 years ago, President Reagan reminded the world that "support for freedom fighters is self-defense." There's no daylight between America's interests and the cause of Ukraine's defense.
Proud, as always, to welcome President @ZelenskyyUA to the U.S. Senate.
