being halfway across the world away did not make this any less heartbreaking to read through i wish this didn't have to be at the expense of someone in the community, but may this swift reminder of the issues that caused the concert's cancellation in the first place remind people that protesting should not end at just lamenting the concert's cancellation, and that at the end of the day, it's all about the bigger picture i was not there, but i could see from how everyone's talked and posted about this weekend in LA that there are very strong bonds in the community, both new and reinforced. i can only hope that this collective experience has given everyone a better and more informed perspective of the reality of the people around you, and that everyone needs to come together and help each other, especially in times like these there are people who can probably give better and more informed calls to action than i can, so i can only wish that the stand against the current US administration will continue, even stronger than before, and that everyone will remind themselves that at the end of the day, we are all human— and we need each other. 🫂
