“You knew her for a while already. To most, she was a wonderful Goddess that blessed their days simply from getting to see her. To you, she was a precious friend. Well, really, you wouldn’t have minded her being more than that, but, your friendship seemed to mean a lot to her. Many times, while you were admiring her beautiful tails swaying back and forth, you’d reach your hand to try to feel them without thinking, but she’d always gently swat your hand away, bringing you back to your senses. “If you touch them, it will change you.” It was that same ominous sentence each time. You thought it was a joke at first. Yet, despite her soft tone, her eyes seemed serious. It started to scare you. But that urge to feel her tails every time you watched them didn’t fade. It only grew. What if it changed you? Would it be that bad? After thinking about it, you assumed she meant it would make you her worshiper. A devout follower like the others. You were trying your hardest to pay attention, of course, but her tails kept catching your gaze for a second or two, and by the time you refocused on her words, you felt a little lost on the topic. In answer to your confusion, your mind sought the comforting regular sway of her tails, ever-present and unchanging. You fixated on it a bit longer this time… then pulled yourself again, and realized her voice became like a lull. You’re sure she was still saying words but your mind was only processing them as sound, beautiful sounds that felt so nice to listen and nod to. You gave up on trying to understand entirely. It was just lovely background music to the sway of her tails. Now that you focused on them more, you realized that maybe they were dancing to it. They seemed to go faster when the music went high or slower when low. Their movement always matched it somehow, like a duet of sorts. And that beautiful performance was pulling you, lulling you, deeper and deeper. You could only see her tails, only think of how wonderful they looked as they sparkled and moved to the pretty music. That familiar need grew… The need to feel them. The urge to touch the fluffy tails. They were barely out of reach. They always were, as if calling for you to do it.
