Acquaintance was ill with Covid a week ago. Several people say “rest properly don’t mess with Covid”. They say yes you’re right. A week later they have just run a long distance race. I hope they are ok long term. Why can people not rest for two weeks? It wasn’t the Olympics.

Same journey, two very different PM2.5 readings on the London Underground today. 📍 Bond Street: 6.5 µg/m³ 📍 Westminster: 241 µg/m³ That's 37 times higher in the space of a few stops! Testing the new portable AirGradient Go, which will soon be available on our website

London is a place where people of every creed, colour and culture live together in peace and mutual respect. A city where a council estate kid with immigrant parents can become Mayor. That’s the reason some don’t want our modern, multicultural, progressive metropolis to succeed.

The PCR positivity map is out, and it's evident that everywhere is seeing a significant surge. UKHSA positivity has risen to 11.83%. Adjusted for non-reporting areas, we make that 13.77%. jamestindall.info/skeuomorph… 1/8

Please sign this petition! Alcohol increases the risk of 7 cancers If people don’t know, they might do something they regret in the future bit.ly/3SnwWTX
Drinking alcohol is a cause of 7 cancers, including breast cancer, but many people don’t know this. The UK government must act now and introduce a National Alcohol Strategy for England. Sign our petition today! 📣 bit.ly/3SnwWTX

Why do we need to open a window @UKHSA? Are flu and Covid airborne? Better let @GwynneMP know. Also where’s the recommended for FFP2/3’s to reduce the risk of being infected?
Lots of infections like #Flu spread easily during winter. If you're unwell, there are actions you can take to reduce the risk of passing on infections to others. 🤧 Read more here 👇 gov.uk/guidance/living-safel…

One for the ‘lessons not learned from Covid’ file: 💨Improving ventilation in hospitals 😷 Requiring masks in hospitals at the start of respiratory virus seasons/waves 💉 Making it easier for people -including NHS staff to get vaccines and more strongly encouragjng uptake
🦠Numbers in hospital with flu in England continues to rise - average of 5,408 patients in beds each day last week, incl 256 in critical care. That's up 21% from 4,469 the previous week and nearly five times number on Dec 1 when total stood at 1,098. Prof Sir Stephen Powis, NHS national medical director, said it was hard to quantify “how tough it is for frontline staff at the moment – with some working in A&E saying that their days at work feel like some of the days we had during the height of the pandemic”.

Ask Wes Streeting why so few people are eligible for a Covid booster compared to the US @ShelaghFogarty Ask him why the latest @UKHSA dashboard looks like a blatant attempt at downplaying Covid by not comparing like with like
Replying to @UKHSA
Most under-50s haven’t been eligible to get a Covid vax since the very first booster in late 2021. In fact, just 28% of people (aged 12 yrs+) in England have had a Covid vaccination in the last 2 YEARS! Meanwhile in the US, EVERYONE is encouraged to get an updated booster…

Dr. Khan knows Covid is rife and he knows ventilation and clean air helps reduce infections. Bridget Phillipson knows too. She told us in Opposition. If you’re really serious about prevention and improving our health and the NHS, Wes Streeting, get clean air into schools now.

Wes Streeting has been talking about how important prevention is with regard to our health and the NHS. So why is official Government policy on ‘living with COVID-19’ the exact opposite? Why aren’t we reducing SARS-COV-2 infections through measures like clean air in schools?
Honestly, I have absolutely no idea how you can genuinely look at this graph and not understand that ongoing waves of constant repeat covid infection are a principal cause of the actual devastating increase in long term disability. How can people be in such staggering denial?

These are @TheGreenParty’s new COVID-19 policies. The Government’s ‘living with COVID-19’ approach is causing death and disability instead of preventing it. Now is the time to step up @AdrianRamsay @ZackPolanski by challenging the Government.

Wow. The hard right Government in Italy can offer Covid vaccines to everyone aged 6 months and up, but the U.K. can’t. The US also offer everyone a Covid vaccine.
