This is the correct opinion. And the game changer imo would be a presidential candidate making a push for this amendment part of their campaign. One Sentence in the Constitution Is Causing America Huge Problems nytimes.com/2025/08/21/opini… via @NYTOpinion

Why would legal threats (which they haven’t made yet actually) cause Simon and Schuster to ‘quietly expedite the release?’ They want to increase their liability exposure and risk having a recall? I don’t understand the logic of this premise
New: Amid legal threats from Jared Kushner over explosive allegations published in a Vanity Fair excerpt, Simon & Schuster quietly expedited the release of Matthew Cole’s Princes and Thieves, with the book now available for purchase two days early status.news/p/jared-kushner-…

Praying you learn something from this experience and remember it next time you report on a family broken up
There are two sides to this. Please wait for the other side before forming a conclusion

We spend over a trillion dollars a year on defense. Obviously we can take out their navy, Air Force, and anything else we can reach with bombs. We can also just nuke them, if this is what you consider strategy, you putz.
Because nothing says "stronger strategic position" like losing your navy and air force and having your vital shipping route blockaded and your economy in free fall.

The president calls Somalians ‘low iq’ who ‘steal’ and each ‘have a Mercedes Benz.’ This is a klan rally and anyone in attendance should be deeply ashamed
Trump: Why do we always take people from shithouse countries? Why can't we take people from Norway or Sweden?

What happened to s*ha*non w*tts? Years ago I remember her being a very outspoken gun control activists honestly advocating for her cause. Last few years it seems she’s dropped any pretense of the honest part.

It’s pretty funny coincidence that both candidates married into their money. This is a time tested way for men with political ambitions to have time to focus on them since the founding of the country. I’m Jealous tbh. nytimes.com/2026/10/25/us/po…

309k views for an account based in Europe rage baiting over the cost of paint at Home Depot and contractor rates.
Just got quoted $2,400 to paint a 23 by 13 foot living room. The 4 gallons of paint it takes to do the job costs about $110 at Home Depot, or around $160 if you want Sherwin Williams. This is not a particularly skilled job. You went to trade school, not medical school. You own a brush and a roller. Stop ripping people off, contractors.

It is likely that Matt Taibbi will end up owing Eoin Higgins $178,000 for filing this lawsuit. And, frankly, he's getting off easy. xitter.cf/innercitypress/status/…
Caitlin Flanagan is a very good writer and she seems like a nice person. Defamation law is a tricky area even for lawyers. And I've certainly been burned venturing outside my area of expertise. Here's why I don't think the Taibbi lawsuit is very good.

I don’t know who is going to win but if talarico does the crazies screaming about rigged voting are going to be supercharged from a crossover with gambling addicts and it’s going to end very badly.
Replying to @Anc_Aesthetics
I bet thousands on Paxton along many others I know on the dip.. Talafreako is now underwater by 3 pts and it will go even higher.

It's a huge misunderstanding of betting markets to think they'll be "humiliated" if an event to which they assign 35% probability happens. If you roll a 1 or 2 on a dice, the dice is not humiliated because "Numbers that small only come up a third of the time".
I have several mutuals who have bet literally thousands of dollars (possibly tens of thousands at this point) on Paxton winning. The idea that someone like Talarico, who believes White skin is a virus and that we should govern the country like a big kindergarten class, could win a Senate race in Texas just seems totally unbelievable. And yet, the betting markets give him an overwhelming advantage and he has led or tied in every single poll since the end of the summer, bar one. Someone is wrong here. Either the market participants and pollsters are about to be humiliated, or our political landscape is going to be shattered in a way that few people are prepared for.

This happened because a radiologist is working their ass off to get cancer scans read at 11 pm on a Friday before the weekend and it is Federal law that results are immediately available to the patient in the electronic record
Healthcare is the only industry that drops your cancer scan results into an app at 11 PM on a Friday, then closes for the weekend. No call. No context. Just a PDF full of words like "suspicious" and "cannot be excluded" and a little banner that says "Sleep well!" Meanwhile billing found me in 4 hours 😐

Just realized gop is gonna try to memory hole trump’s disastrous tariff policies with Iran war.
The Iran War is a moral and strategic disaster, but politically, the problem is basically that now, the defining policy of Trump's political career makes Obama look great by comparison. Imagine if inflation was at Fed target and we were talking about immigration and DEI.

They are in a worse position in absolute terms obviously. (Country decimated. GDP halved. Leadership gone.). that notwithstanding it’s also true they are in a stronger strategic position re us. You are making o’s point. The admin can’t think first order let alone second order
This is obviously completely wrong. Anyone who says this is a moron

Outside people who don’t understand the media broadside he’s been facing preferring he would make strategic decisions based on their own policy preferences. Don’t do that!
Just complete and total malpractice for this to be what Turek has up in week 2…what a closing argument.

Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?

Because Elon is famously very careful about managing risk. Like when he was forced to buy the app you wrote this on for 40 billion dollars because he mouthed off and didn’t think he would have to follow through
It’s not plausible IMO that Elon is the one responsible for the Starshield situation. I just don’t believe a CEO of a major company who knows he will get subpoenaed to the end of the Earth by the incoming Congress would be stupid enough to make that call unless he was told to by Trump/Vance/DoD or someone.

At $500k a pop, Obama would have to give a speech every night for the next twelve years to match the $2.2 billion in openly corrupt income Trump pulled in in 2025 alone.
Makes speeches for 500k a pop. Hasn’t eaten dinner that costs less than $250 in years. Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks. Will always be known for a presidency that ushered in the Trump era to begin with.
