Who I listen to Who I talk to What I read Who I respond to These are my (our) choices to make So what’s the alternative? The UK Government decide? Whitehall decide what I hear, read or who I can talk to? That is State overreach/oppression/suppression Cc @SpeechUnion

Freedom/liberty mean being able to hear, consider and informed of different views contrary to my own To read different opinions, have conversations Without UK government or Whitehall or quango ever-increasing overreach deciding who we can listen/talk to Cc @BigBrotherWatch

Loved this jumper my gran knitted me She passed away when I was 19, I still miss her We must never feel like we have to 'move on' and distance ourselves from the memories, we are allowed to treasure those memories β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Given the capabilities of UK government to influence social media β€’ 6,000+ professionals, specialist agencies + paid influencers I expect these resources are used to amplify selected @X accounts Artificially boosting their reach and fabricating popularity through astroturfing

Tiring listening to politicians who parade around with a progressive self-appointed halo Branding themselves a paragon of virtue Preaching righteousness using rehearsed polished rhetoric to disguise their audience from their ego, ambition and relentless pursuit of self-interest

Replying to @SkyNews
Obama deported over 3 million+ people through formal ICE removals Yet cultivated a Statesman-like progressive image Obama's record is not immune to scrutiny Politicians - incl Obama - must be judged by their actions, not just their branding and self-righteous rhetoric

It's nice to see politicians that are relatable on TV Such as Andy Burnham However If within 2 years those same politicians bring in legislation that allows only them/think and speak Then the public were duped, played and lied to by genius optics and PR teams Cc @SpeechUnion

Dear UK, FYI In the 1950s Joseph Stalin would imprison you in a Siberian Gulag for making a joke about him Just saying cc @SpeechUnion

Last night someone immediately asked which political party I support Seems every conversation is a minefield of 'what’s your politics?' as if people need to know whether you’re worth talking to I said I support no party I’m happy to talk to anyone whatever their political views

*Chatter* Has there ever been a more insidious word used to ignore the sexual violence against women and girls in UK

Alastair Campbell is everywhere Relentlessly amplified across every layer of the information space, socials, TV, radio, podcasts... His reach and visibility is improbable without institutional backing Are Whitehall or its agencies behind his political messaging and placement?

I haven't decided if Alastair Campbell's grandstanding moral virtue is mesmerising or nauseating Existing in a bell jar of confirmation bias, I stand back and marvel how someone so shameless can brand themselves a compass of morality It can only be a blessing of amnesia

We see machete attacks/knife violence in news daily across UK towns/cities Public deserve transparency re disconnect between what they see - and fear - in their communities and @ukhomeoffice percentages on social media Your statistics don't reflect the reality on our streets
🚨 New figures show that knife crime is down by 11% and overall homicides are down by 7%, since July 2024. Fatal knife attacks are also at their lowest level in 35 years.

I enjoy living in the UK Especially how we can all coexist despite our differences It’s really easy to work out who the bad guys are Anyone who wants to end Democracy Individual liberty Freedom of Expression Debate Child Protection Or say β€˜Believe what I do or I’ll harm you’

Ignore the smoke/noise of politics The first thing we do is watch out for any politician, any political party incl the Civil Service (permanent State), any political personalities or think tank Who want to remove any of the list above If so, they are the bad guys
10
Some people I love the most in life I disagree with on some huge topics That’s allowed We are allowed to be friends with people we disagree with It’s the only way we learn, listen to counterviews and break out of our own echo chamber of confirmation bias And be stress tested

Presenting it as oppression vs liberation is a false dilemma designed to make criticism feel immoral We can recognise genuine grievances and oppose inequality while still condemning arson, looting and violence Regarding those who burn and loot as never guilty is delusional

For some, French rioters are never guilty They're oppressed, so their violence = liberation Billionaires are never innocent They're oppressors, their wealth = proof of guilt When ideology determines innocence before actions are judged, individual responsibility means nothing
