Oh, I'm sorry! It's not so much that this is a gloomy post it's just that I really want to give my all to both being a VTuber and my job, and trying to balance my time has made me a little anxious, wondering, “Can I keep this up?” You know, I'm not very good at managing my time.

Good morning, everyone! I was out and about this morning, and I got such a huge surprise…! A foreign student who used to be my friend back in college told me, “I’m in Japan now, so I’d like to see you,” so I went to meet him and he gave me this super cute gift!! He was an exchange student, and I used to reach out to him often when he was having trouble adjusting to life in Japan. He was the kind of person who could understand me even when my English was still very basic. We got along really well hanging out, learning about Japanese customs together, and visiting famous spots. By the time we’d really become close, he started getting invited by all sorts of groups, so we didn’t get to talk as much. Even when I saw him off at the airport, we just hugged and parted ways and that was the last I heard from him but I was so happy to see him again today! He’s currently working as a teacher in the U.S., and talking with him really got me thinking about a lot of things. “Mia, you have the power to connect people, but the moment a connection is made, you quietly create distance. While you wish for someone else’s happiness, by not revealing yourself, you end up creating a harmony that makes you sad.” I felt like I understood what he was saying, so I couldn’t say anything back. I take time very seriously, so I inevitably become strict about the time people spend with me. I want him or her to have a happy time rather than spending it with me. But you know, that was back when I was a student. Now, as a streamer, I’m gradually growing to cherish the time they spend with me while also respecting their own time. So I told him, “I’m still a little awkward at it, but I’m doing my best.” Haha, this ended up sounding like a growth journal, but when he gave me this stuffed animal, I was so happy I actually cried… “You’re here to be happy.” That’s what it said. English is such a direct language, isn’t it? It really touched my heart. Hehe, so anyway, it was a gift from a friend who remembered my birthday! Since I won’t be in Japan on my actual birthday, his sent it to me ahead of time. I’m so happy!
