hello!
welcome to my account iβm matilda!
i like to write ramble and make threads/tweets analysing and talking abt tbhk! you can find all of them in the replies β
more info abt me is in my strawpage! feel free to send in any gimmicks and ask tbhk-related questions or anything
hanako is also tragic because even in positions where he technically is the one w power it is so easily usurped by the people around him,, of course the other mysteries refer to him w the sama honorific but it all feels like pretence,, because hanako has truly never been 1/3
autonomous in his life,, of course itβs not like they need to abide by hanako,, but i think thereβs irony in how little influence hanako has over the rest of the mysteries for the most part,, and i mean this on a more individual scale. but truly so much of what hanako does
myb a stretch but imagery i like is the yugi familyβs home being burnt to its foundations. a quaint house holding an ideal nuclear family. the pit god completely disrupts this,, dismantling it because i believe the pit god propagates many societal norms which serve to 1/5
being lost/killed. the pit god creates this distress within society,, however the pit god is a systemic part of the house and village society,, fire is ofc the pit godβs weakness,, whilst the pit god was not literally driven out when the red house burnt,, i nevertheless believe
i love seeing the hakubo and kou similarities but consider kou and sumireβ¦ bcz to me theyβre both victims of an oppressive system which theyβre supposedly meant to benefit from based on what their society *posits*
