Just helped a young guy in my society file his taxes. He is salaried in a tech job & filed ITR-2. Approx Numbers Total taxable income = ₹22,17,000 Tax paid = ₹2,66,000 So his income tax rate is only 12% in the New Tax Regime. Tax cuts by govt seem really decent. For an income that high, income tax rate in India is actually good.
