Before the St. Louis Cardinals could celebrate their first title in 15 years, they would need six outs from Bruce Sutter. The Hall of Fame closer retired the side in order for the Game 7 save #OTD in 1982. ow.ly/uxQQ50ZZxZC

“When off the blood thinners.”??? I’m on blood thinners. I don’t play in the NFL. I don’t actively play sports anymore… I watch them on TV… and I’ve never come “off the blood thinners.”

THIS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST STORIES IN SPORTS 🤯 Back in 2014, the Milwaukee Brewers offered fans the opportunity to purchase a $1,000 "Timeless Ticket" that could be redeemed for ANY future home game, including the WORLD SERIES. The tickets NEVER expired. Only 1,000 were offered, and each came as a personalized brass ticket that fans could keep forever. Now, more than a DECADE later, the Brewers are headed to the World Series for the first time since 1982. The Brewers are honoring those tickets, allowing fans to redeem them for World Series games this year. Shoutout to the Brewers ❤️
I just randomly thought about when the brewers had a timeless ticket.

Brewers 1B Jake Bauers decided to retire two years ago. His wife was going to go back to work as a teacher and he would be a stay-at-home-dad. Three weeks later, though, she found out she was pregnant with their second child. Bauers decided to return to baseball only because his family needed health insurance. Tonight he was named MVP of the National League Championship Series.

Absolutely wild story from the WSJ: Kimberly Guilfoyle was preparing for her Senate confirmation hearing to become U.S. ambassador to Greece when she asked a Trump donor for $100,000 to pay an American Express bill—in a way that “wouldn’t leave a paper trail.” “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” she wrote on Signal. “Please.” wsj.com/politics/policy/guil…

Fooling around on the course. Bad language. Smoking grass. Poor caddying. But if you guys wanna get fired… wanna get replaced by golf carts… jus’ keep it up.
Brian Doyle-Murray really doesn’t get enough credit. Never disappoints.

If Texas A&M had never fired Kevin Sumlin and they continued giving him $2 million raises every 4 years and he kept his 66.2% win percentage, the Aggies today would have saved $102 million and had two more wins 👀 #AggieFactThursday
