Not true. Having visited YWP on a number of occasions I have never at any time felt unsafe in any way whatsoever. There is a full inquest in March into the death of this mentally unwell man. The HSE would not be letting the park reopen if there was a danger to the public.

If an allegedly British person doesn't know what 'wind your neck in' means. I would suggest that they're not British and maybe not even a person.

People see a disabled person receiving benefits or using a wheelchair and assume we have been given something they haven’t. What they rarely consider is everything disability has already taken away. I paid tax and National Insurance for 35 years. I had a career I loved, travelled around the country, followed rugby, walked my dog for miles and had plans to visit Australia. Then my health changed, and my entire life changed with it. I lost my career, my home, friendships, independence, experiences and the future I thought I would have. I have now used my own pension to pay thousands of pounds for a wheelchair that helps me remain independent. So before calling disabled people frauds, accusing us of living off taxpayers or resenting the support we receive, ask yourself one question: Would you genuinely swap lives with us? Be careful what you wish for. #Disability #MultipleSclerosis #WheelchairUser #DisabilityBenefits #AmbulatoryWheelchairUser #InvisibleDisability #RawRach You Think Disabled People Have It Easy? 100% This. Makes my blood boil.
This comment was automatically filtered on one of my videos, and I think it shows why the language we use about welfare matters. This commenter went even further, saying people should be “taken outside and beat.” Politicians and commentators aren't responsible for every comment somebody posts online, and individuals are responsible for their own words. But everyone involved in the public debate has a responsibility to deal in facts rather than stereotypes. Disabled people, unpaid carers, people who are ill, people looking for work and people receiving support while working are people ,not targets. Disagree with welfare policy all you like. Violence and dehumanisation are not policy arguments. #Disability #DisabilityRights #Welfare #Benefits #UniversalCredit #PIP

Helen, stop. Read this. Right now, someone on PIP is reading your timeline. They've seen eleven posts in three weeks calling their support "morally wrong." "Unaffordable." "Unfair." A "lifestyle choice." They didn't choose their condition. They didn't choose to need help. They filled in a 42-page form describing the worst moments of their life. They attended an assessment where a stranger asked them to prove they can't function. They waited months for a decision. They were told yes, you qualify, you ARE that unwell. And now the Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary the person who wants to run the department that assessed them posts every single day that their existence on the system is "morally wrong." How does that feel? To the person with depression who already believes they're a burden. To the person with anxiety who already believes they don't deserve help. To the person who already thought about ending it and decided to ask for support instead. Your words have weight, Helen. You're not a random account with 40 followers. You're the Shadow Secretary of State. When YOU say PIP is "morally wrong," the person reading it doesn't hear "the system needs reform." They hear "YOU are the problem. YOU are the cost. YOU are what's wrong." Eleven times. In three weeks. Every day another post telling vulnerable people they're a burden on the country. If one person reading your timeline today decides they're too ashamed to claim what they're entitled to that's on you. If one person decides the stigma is too much and stops asking for help that's on you. If one person in crisis sees "morally wrong" and believes it about themselves that's on you. Words from the Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary aren't tweets. They're signals. To 4 million PIP claimants. That the person who wants to control their support thinks their existence in the system is morally wrong. Please stop. Reform the system if you want. Publish a policy if you have one. But stop telling vulnerable people, every single day, that needing help is a moral failing. It isn't policy. It's cruelty with a blue tick. if you have a disability or are living with depression and these posts are making things harder you are not the problem. You are not a burden. You are not "morally wrong." You needed help. You asked for it. That took courage. Samaritans: 116 123. Free. 24 hours. Every day. And if you're reading this and you're angry tell Helen. Reply to her. Let her see the people behind the numbers she posts every day.

No matter what your politics, dementia is a dreadful disease that affects not only the person living with it, but everyone who loves them. My heartfelt condolences go out to Andy Burnham and his family on the loss of his dad. I remember how passionately and lovingly Andy spoke about his father at the social care launch. You could see just how much he meant to him. Today isn’t about politics. It’s simply about a son who has lost his dad, and a family who are grieving. Sending my deepest condolences to them all. ❤️ #DementiaAwareness #DementiaCarer #Stand4SocialCare

I find it genuinely disturbing that people are now publishing identifiable photographs of individual @RNLI crew members and directing hostility towards them for carrying out search-and-rescue operations. I am deliberately not reproducing the posts, the photographs or the account concerned. These people do not deserve further exposure simply because somebody wants to make a political point. Whatever anyone thinks about immigration, Channel crossings or government policy, targeting individual RNLI crew members is completely unacceptable. These men and women are not setting immigration policy. They are not deciding who may enter Britain. They are not running Border Force. They are not working with people smugglers. They are responding to search-and-rescue taskings coordinated by @HMCoastguard and doing what lifeboat crews exist to do, saving people whose lives may be at risk. Many RNLI crew members are volunteers. They leave their homes, families and jobs when called, and sometimes put themselves in danger to save complete strangers. Criticise the Government. Criticise French enforcement. Criticise immigration policy. Argue that the boats should be stopped before they ever leave France. I certainly do. But publishing photographs of individual rescuers and portraying them as personally responsible for an “invasion” crosses a very different line. These are human beings with families of their own, carrying out a rescue role. They should never become targets because somebody dislikes the immigration policy that exists around the people they are sent to save. The RNLI saves lives. That should not require its crews to look over their shoulders afterwards.
