Cormorants take flight in formation at sunset tonight, headed toward somewhere to roost for the night. Now that I work in the Dallas Medical District, I wonder if they were headed for Bachman Lake or the UT Southwestern Medical Center rookery nearby.

The State Fair of Texas ends on Sunday and the show-stopper for me this year is this 10-foot-tall giant axolotl inside the Mundo Latino exhibit in the Hall of State building. Little kids love this iconic Mexican salamander🦎.

I think this is the best rain photo I’ve taken since rain finally returned to Dallas. I love a good rainy reflection picture. This is the Dior store at Highland Park Village, taken on my morning commute.
