The dead have started coming home.
It began three nights ago.
A woman in town opened her door and found her husband standing on the porch.
He had been dead twelve years.
He looked exactly as she remembered him.
Same coat.
Same crooked smile.
He even knew the name she used to whisper when they were alone.
She let him in.
By morning, both were gone.
Then more returned.
A little boy knocked on his mother’s door.
A soldier appeared outside the house where his father had grown old waiting for him.
A woman dead nearly fifty years walked barefoot through the rain until she reached the home of a daughter now older than she had ever been.
Some people screamed.
Some prayed.
Most opened the door.
Tonight, someone knocked on mine.
I knew who it was before I looked.
My mother stood beneath the porch light.
Just as I remembered her.
For a moment, I became a child again.
I reached for the lock.
Then she smiled.
“Let me in.”
My hand stopped.
My mother never asked to come inside.
Not once in her life.
She always said the same thing.
It’s me. Open the door.
The thing outside smiled again.
“Let me in.”
I stepped away.
Its smile disappeared.
For several seconds, we stared at one another through the glass.
Then it spoke in my mother’s voice.
Softly.
Almost sadly.
“You always were difficult to fool.”
It turned and walked toward the road.
There were others waiting there.
Dozens of them.
Standing beneath the streetlights in borrowed faces.
And from houses all along the street,
I heard doors beginning to open.

Yesterday, I remembered my daughter.
Her name was Anna.
She had brown eyes, hated thunderstorms, and slept with a stuffed rabbit tucked beneath her chin.
I remember teaching her to ride a bicycle.
Holding her hand in the hospital when she broke her wrist.
The way she cried on her first day of school.
I remember everything.
There is only one problem.
I have never had a daughter.
I am not married.
I live alone.
Yet the memories keep coming.
This morning, I remembered my wife.
Her name was Claire.
I remembered our wedding.
Our first apartment.
The argument we had the night Anna was born.
Twenty-three years of a life I never lived.
By afternoon, I could barely remember which memories belonged to me.
Then someone knocked at my door.
A young woman stood outside.
Brown eyes.
Maybe twenty years old.
She looked at me and began to cry.
“Dad?”
I couldn’t speak.
Behind her stood a woman I recognized immediately.
Claire.
Older than I remembered.
Terrified.
She grabbed Anna’s hand.
“We found you.”
“Found me?”
Claire stared at me.
“You disappeared three years ago.”
I stepped backward.
“No. I’ve lived here for twelve years.”
Her face changed.
Not confusion.
Horror.
She looked past me into the apartment.
At the furniture.
The walls.
The life I remembered living.
Then she whispered:
“This isn’t our world.”

The Morrigan, Celtic Crow Goddess of Death, War & Transformation teaches us that we need to let some parts of our lives “die” for others to flourish.
Sometimes we must change our surroundings, habits, friends & even our ourselves to achieve our full potential 🖤

The stars are wrong tonight.
I noticed because my father taught me their names when I was a boy.
Orion.
Cassiopeia.
The Great Bear turning endlessly around the northern sky.
I have known them all my life.
But tonight, they are wrong.
Not missing.
Moved.
Only slightly.
As though someone had taken the heavens in both hands and twisted.
I checked the date.
The time.
The compass on my phone.
Then I called my brother.
“Go outside.”
He laughed.
“Why?”
“Look at the stars.”
There was silence.
Then—
“What about them?”
My stomach tightened.
“You don’t see it?”
“See what?”
I hung up.
I called three more people.
None of them saw anything strange.
So I went outside alone.
For nearly an hour, I watched the constellations slowly rearrange themselves.
Stars drifted across the black.
Ancient patterns came apart.
New ones formed.
And eventually,
they became something I recognized.
An eye.
Enormous.
Perfect.
Staring down at me.
I couldn’t move.
Then my phone rang.
My brother.
I answered.
For several seconds, neither of us spoke.
Finally, he whispered:
“I see it now.”
A second constellation shifted.
Another eye opened.
Then another.
Across the entire sky,
the stars began waking.

The door appeared sometime during the night.
I know because I walk the same trail every morning.
There had never been anything there before.
No house.
No ruins.
No foundation beneath the leaves.
Only an old wooden door standing upright between two pines.
I walked around it.
Nothing.
Just forest on the other side.
There was no frame supporting it, yet when I pushed against the wood, it would not move.
Someone had carved a sentence above the handle.
𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗢𝗥𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡.
I should have left.
Instead, I turned the handle.
The door opened.
There was no forest behind it.
There were stars.
Thousands of them.
More than I had ever seen.
They stretched across a violet-black sky above a vast plain of something resembling water.
Except the water hung vertically.
And something enormous was moving beneath its surface.
Then I noticed the sound.
Breathing.
Deep.
Slow.
Coming from somewhere beyond the doorway.
The thing beneath the water stopped moving.
The breathing stopped with it.
For one terrible moment, everything on the other side became still.
Then the stars began disappearing.
One by one.
Not going dark.
Being covered.
Something was moving between the stars and me.
Something vast enough to eclipse entire constellations.
I slammed the door.
I stood there with both hands pressed against the wood.
Then I heard something from the other side.
Three slow scratches.
I ran.
I returned this morning with the police.
The door was gone.
They found nothing between the trees.
No footprints.
No disturbed earth.
Nothing.
One officer laughed when I told him what I had seen.
Then he pointed toward the sky.
“You’ve been reading too many horror stories.”
I looked up.
It was broad daylight.
The moon hung pale above the trees.
And beside it—
was another one.

It's Del Munday!😍
A new week won't magically change everything...
But it does bring new chances...
A chance to be a little kinder
A little braver
A little more curious
A little more yourself
The world doesn't need a perfect Monday
It just needs a few more people willing to brighten someone else's
Let's make it a good one 💛

I went to her grave
beneath an October moon,
when the cemetery lay hushed
beneath a veil of mist.
I brought the flowers
she loved in life
and placed them gently
against the stone.
Then I heard it.
A sound beneath the earth.
Soft.
Patient.
Scratching.
I knelt
and pressed my ear
against the cold ground.
For one terrible moment,
there was silence.
Then three words
rose through the soil,
“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬.”
I ran.
God forgive me,
I ran.
But halfway to the gate
I stopped.
Because behind me,
from somewhere beneath
that moonlit earth,
she began to scream.
Not my name.
Someone else’s.
And from the grave beside hers,
something answered.

They still don't understand Gen X in the workplace.
We don't want free pizza parties.
We don't want mandatory team-building retreats.
We don't want motivational speeches about being a family.
And we definitely don't want another company-branded coffee mug.
You know what we want?
💰 Pay us what we're worth.
🏖️ Let us take our vacation days without guilt.
🏡 Respect our time outside of work.
🤝 Trust us to do the job we were hired to do.
📵 Stop expecting us to be available 24/7.
We're not looking for an office to become our second home. We have lives, families, responsibilities, and better things to do than pretend a pizza party makes up for being underpaid and overworked.
Pay us fairly, respect our boundaries, and let us get on with our lives.
That's the perk. That's the culture. That's it. 😂
