Ever had your internet drop and then had no way to prove when it happened or how long it lasted?
That’s what got us into this.
For the #AvaloniaPortChallenge, we took WirePeep, Bill Menees’ open-source network monitor, and rebuilt it as Synups.
From a Windows/WPF app to @AvaloniaUI + .NET, running on Windows, macOS, and Linux
Synups sends real ICMP pings, shows response times and peer status live, and never guesses when the result is unknown.
It records confirmed incidents, recovery, comments, and history that survives a restart and lets you export the evidence to CSV.
Know when your network drops. Know how long it lasts. Keep the evidence.

building, Carry by @TapeOutWorld would close it in a simple way.
you store the digital things that matter to you ---- a work proof, a certificate, a ticket, a post and they stay tied to your wallet.
you can show them, move them, or keep them even if the original site disappears.
the app itself would run onchain so the tool holding your records isn’t controlled by another company either.
money already feels like yours when you hold it yourself.
Carry would try to make a few other everyday things feel the same.
@XLayerOfficial
how I wish self ownership existed onchain, not money but social life.
----------> @XLayerOfficial
i wish the same feeling of ownership we already have with money also existed for the rest of people’s digital lives.
with crypto, if you hold Bitcoin or stablecoins in your own wallet, the money is actually yours.
no company can freeze it or decide you can’t use it.
you control it.
@TapeOutWorld
i wish that same simple ownership applied to other things:
▪️the posts and photos you create
▪️the audience you spend years building
▪️tickets, certificates, or digital items you buy
▪️proof of work you’ve done or things you own
presently, those mostly still live on someone else’s platform.
they can change the rules, limit your reach, remove access.
i wish they worked more like the money already does, something you hold yourself, can move if you want, and no single company fully controls.
we’ve spent the past few weeks showing you what Spoke can do, from creating referral links to tracking rewards and finding partners.
Now, we’re taking the next step.
We’ll soon open our waitlist for early merchants and distributors ahead of our mainnet launch.

If you farmed Season 1 or 2 and skip this window you will end up in the same position as the people who never registered for Hyperliquid.
@RobAnon just walked through the process.
You go to the app, see exactly how many tokens you are getting, choose your vesting terms, pick Ethereum or Base, sign the message, and you are done.
Day one and consistent users get better options, more liquid at TGE and shorter vesting, because the team wanted to take care of the people who stayed from the beginning.
Registration is open for the next week.
After that the tokens simply stay unclaimed.

What happens when you spend years building a Windows desktop app, and then someone says:
“Great. Now we need it on Mac and Linux too.”
That’s the problem @AvaloniaUI caught my attention for.
I recently got to experience it firsthand while porting WirePeep to Avalonia as Synups

Perfect for uni, offices, churches, malls, and events where belongings easily get misplaced.

@AvaloniaUI also made me appreciate something that’s easy to miss when reading about cross-platform frameworks:
The real value isn’t just “one codebase.”
It’s being able to keep your existing .NET knowledge, application architecture and development workflow while reaching platforms you couldn’t easily target before.
Avalonia doesn’t eliminate cross-platform complexity. It makes managing that complexity practical.
We put those lessons into Synups, our open-source WirePeep port for the Avalonia Port Challenge.
