Farmers. Ranchers. Shipbuilders. Mariners. America needs them all. Undercutting one American industry in a (failing) attempt to help another is no strategy for American strength. Conservative commentator @ohyeahitsjulio makes the case in @AMGreatness: amgreatness.com/2026/09/30/s…

The political Jones Act waiver promised relief. Who’s actually benefiting? David St. Amand explains how refiners and energy traders are making billions from high refining margins while failing to pass supposed savings from using foreign ships on to consumers.

The Political Jones Act Waiver doesn't impact just one class of vessel. It's about the future of American maritime investment. The longer the waiver continues, the greater the risk to US shipyards and an irreplaceable workforce of American citizens. 🇺🇸⚓️

Americans were promised lower prices from the political Jones Act waiver. So where are the savings? Navigistics Consulting President David St. Amand follows the money and explains who benefits from consumers spending more at the pump. 💡⚓️ youtu.be/DiJrTWvgB8w

American steel. American workers. American ships. 🇺🇸 Matson's investment means three new Jones Act containerships built in Philadelphia to increase capacity and strengthen affordable, reliable shipping. American maritime dominance isn't built with a press release. It's built by American companies.

More than 70 Jones Act tankers and petroleum-carrying articulated tug-barges serve the Gulf Coast, supported by hundreds of additional barges. As communities recover from #HurricaneIsaias, these American vessels and mariners are preparing to resume essential fuel deliveries as ports safely reopen. The Anduril announcement is a major vote of confidence in America's shipbuilding talent. @WhiteHouse, that same confidence should extend to the commercial Jones Act fleet. America can’t claim maritime dominance while giving away our domestic cargo to foreign ships. ⚓️

The fact that so many Jones Act waiver requests appear to be coming from a small group of large energy companies underscores our concern that what Congress intended to be extraordinary national defense waiver authority is being used for profit-seeking purposes far removed from the emergency circumstances it was intended to address. The @DeptofWar has a duty to evaluate whether these requests actually meet the statutory standard of necessity to address “an immediate adverse effect” on military operations. Since the beginning of the waiver in March, these have been few and far between. Read more: americanmaritimepartnership.…

⛽ Don’t trade American ships for less than a penny at the pump. Especially when the "savings" never pass through to drivers. When the political Jones Act waiver was first extended in May, regular gasoline averaged $4.48 per gallon and diesel $5.60 per gallon nationwide. (1/4)

Foreign vessel operators using the Jones Act waiver are reportedly moving petroleum products without reporting those movements to MARAD as required by law. If foreign operators are ignoring reporting requirements, what other U.S. laws are being ignored? The Administration should end the waiver, and Congress should conduct vigorous oversight of the waiver process. Accountability cannot be optional. #Endthewaiver gcaptain.com/foreign-tanker-… @realDonaldTrump @SecDuffy @JDVance @DOTMARAD @SpeakerJohnson

"It’s outrageous that foreign operators are not reporting their movements under the waiver. Reporting is specifically required by law, which was emphasized in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection notice of the waiver. It begs the question of what other U.S. laws – like immigration, taxation, and labor – are not being followed by foreign vessels using the waiver. It’s time for the Administration to end the waiver, and it’s also time for Congress to conduct vigorous oversight of the waiver process." — Jennifer Carpenter, President of the American Maritime Partnership.
