finally made it to @eatatchain at westfield topanga and 2 min after we ordered and paid…the power went out. so we’re sitting here hoping it comes back on
I just joined the waitlist for Tau Robotics (@taurobots): humanoid robots that clean your home, one hour for $30 per humanoid. Join with my referral link and I move up the list: tau-robotics.com/waitlist?re…
boyfriend brought a camp snap camera to the broad last weekend and we finally looked at the pics. next museum we go to, i think we’ll only use this to remember the days before instant gratification of phone pics.
i went into this movie blind. i hadn’t seen a trailer / spoilers. i saw it last night and the longer i sit with it, the more appreciation i have. i hope more films like this are made and that more people go see this in IMAX. the sound is immersive and adds to the experience.
finally got to see yayoi kusama’s infinity mirrored room yesterday. pretty darn cool and i wish we could’ve taken it all in longer. each party only gets 1min.
had to do a group project in college and one person in my group straight copied and pasted from wikipedia. we begged her to change it before the deadline and she wouldn’t. we had to report it to our professor so we didn’t fail. our school allegedly had a strict no plagiarism policy, but we all got a’s on the project and she didn’t get any penalty. that’s when i learned it’s all a sham.
incredibly well done doc. go watch it!
Almost 10 years ago we started making this film, but it never had closure because I wasn’t flying at the time. I was crippled by anxiety and trauma and had convinced myself I would never get on a plane again. At one point I told my manager, “Let the documentary come out when I’m dead.”
I’m still here. And today, the documentary is out on Hulu.
I hope my story can inspire someone who needs it the way I needed stories like this when I was a kid. For anyone who feels trapped, like their dreams are out of reach or certain things just aren’t accessible to them, I want them to know they’re not as far away as they might seem.
I hope it can encourage anyone dealing with trauma, addiction, fear, or anything else weighing them down to keep going and overcome it. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
More than anything, I hope everyone who watches can take something from it.
I’m grateful to be alive, grateful for this life, and grateful to live it in honor and memory of the friends and family I’ve lost along the way.
Thank you 🙏🏼
just had one of the best lunches i’ve had in a while. the wonders of social media: my mans sent a reel of the truffle cheese bread (2nd pic) a couple days ago and we’ve been thinking about it since so we went today. ini ristorante in fountain valley, ca. – at Fountain Valley, CA
asked my mans if he is a marvel fan (shocked i don’t know this 7 months in) and brought up avengers since doomsday is releasing this year. this was his response 😂
forced obsolescence has made life-changing products feel like such a scam. i first got @eightsleep in 2021. it stopped working so they shipped a replacement after a frustrating support process. i was delighted it was an upgrade to pod 3. now pod 3 has died…
i wish companies would do the right thing, offer consistent resolutions, and accept accountability when a product fails at no fault of the consumer. sad to say my boyfriend is going to have to suffer with an overheating side of the bed.
oh man, just popped into the @eightsleep reddit for the first time. glad i’m not the only disappointed customer. reddit.com/r/EightSleep/comm…
