Who am I and why should you follow๐
Most leadership advice is written by people who haven't touched production in a decade. I'm a systems architect and engineering leader writing about extreme technical debt, stoic leadership, and executing from the root.
I'm using Gemini Argon a lot more for deep analysis now, and getting it to write extensive technical prompts for me to feed into Qwen 3.8 Next Flash to do the actually coding locally.
Gemini as the architect, Qwen as the engineer. Working well for me!
Embarrassed to admit I didn't know pinch-and-zoom works in Linux on my Framework laptop touchpad until just now. I've been using it for years.
I have one of the older Frameworks, maybe first gen? It's a little beast, never felt the need to upgrade as I do most of my dev now on a Framework PC. As a "daily driver" it's perfect.
Hey @grok has anyone done any investigations into how many jobs advertised on LinkedIn are actually real? I suspect many are growth hacks, and some are scams.
I lived through the .com crash, it was stupid: literally any company with ".com" in it's name was having investment thrown at it, even if the core business made no sense. We barely had broadband back then, and e-commerce was new and untrusted by most.
When the .com crash happened, it happened FAST. Structural flaws always fail suddenly and violently.
I am bearish on the big American labs as they are not cost-effective, but bullish on lower cost operations in other locations with smaller capex bills.
