the whole discourse about the swimsuit in Gameoverse is really odd because while Kit totally could've worn her normal outfit underwater I also think that the writers just wanted to have fun playing dress up

GUYS DO YOU GET IT??? IT'S A HECKING MEME REFERENCE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAH SO FUCKING FUNNY I will never get over how this shit has some kind of semi-ironic fandom it looks so fucking bad

ppl will say that Gameoverse's yuri doesn't exist but the thing is there is clearly shit hinting towards it with Kojima and Dana Terrace level subtlety

genuine question when did people switch up on the panic attack thing? Was it the clip farming that Puss in Boots got and people just associated it with the annoying "animation is cinema" crowd? Or is there like actually something wrong with this trope or whatever

I should say that when it comes to misogyny in media, the show with mostly hourglass figured women is like tier 1 misogyny, but the way people talk about this single episode you'd think it was some return to silent hill or lady ballers levels of misogyny when it really isn't

Lemme revise this statement: the show isn’t misogynistic for having 4 hourglass figured women who all appear to have some importance to the plot while actually doing something

Let’s explore that idea. Say there is a large contingent of gamers that don’t like democrats or, equivalently, republicans. Should Valve force developers to list their political affiliation? Is that pro-consumer? Do you think that policy would have a positive effect on gaming?

i felt that elizabeths father and the guy talking about the new theranos tech seemed to be the only ones in the whole film not putting on some kind of facade, and interestingly are both people billy tried to stop nathan from interviewing

This whole Lilith/Bunlith situation really reinforces the idea if you make anything with the slightest bit of cringe or be a bit corny people will hate you and will actively try to ruin your life. Especially if you're trans or apart of any other minority.

I had finally made peace with being roasted by Elizabeth Holmes. Then I found out in a crowded movie theater that it was actually her weird husband Billy. That feels significantly more humiliating.
