One of the many reasons I drag myself out of bed on a Saturday morning come rain or shine. Let’s go Foxes!

I have reflected on my experience at #insar2025. I was privileged to be able to present my work on DEP. Had some insightful conversations. But was disparaged by the language, focus on ABA and cures. As researchers we need to remember the numbers we present relate to people.

Yesterday we had our annual visit from Santa and the mini fire engine. It means so much for our players to see Santa in an inclusive environment. Thank you The Mini Fire engine

The footage uncovered by the BBC in their short documentary is heartbreaking, but not shocking. It is something my family have personal experience of. Schools are traumatising autistic young people. Systemic change is desperately needed.

The system needs to do better at listening, understanding and treating people as individuals. I don’t know any parent who would disagree with everything said here!
‘Fighting every step is so hard' Katie, 17, is autistic and has barely been to school since she was 13. She joined @BBCNuala to discuss her experience as a child navigating England’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system, and how it has impacted her.

Really enjoyed being part of this project.
Great talk by Dr Kieran Lyon discussing our work which we have done exploring the effect of a manual calculation activity of statistics anxiety and understanding. Very proud of this project and lovely to see students confidence of statistics grow! 😄
