good move by TN will hopefully push other states too xitter.cf/rajeshamlw/status/2113…
🚨Big News TN has announced an aviation fuel tax cut for domestic flights: 🔹 Chennai: 29% → 16% 🔹 Other TN airports: 29% → 1% 🔹 Smaller aircraft below 40,000 kg maximum take-off weight, refuelling outside Chennai: 5% → 1% The bigger push is for airports outside Chennai. Lower fuel costs could help airlines add routes and frequencies, improving connectivity for business and tourism. Passengers will get cheaper tickets? That depends on how much airlines pass on. The concession starts November 1, 2026, and runs until midnight on October 30–31, 2027. Source: TN Government Gazette, October 23, 2026.

India needs his money - and not this tamasha of a witchhunt. In any case, running an airline is no mean feat with Indian taxes on ATF.
Congratulations to the Government for a Covid 19 relief package. They can print as much currency as they want BUT should a small contributor like me who offers 100% payback of State owned Bank loans be constantly ignored ? Please take my money unconditionally and close.

This is true of any science .. we should learn natural sciences as creatures of leisure. Like the Europeans did in 19th century. Great discoveries and inventions came from men of leisure running home labs 😀😀 If someone wants to teach physics, you have student here in me.
I wish I could make this as my profession. Teaching math and science to grown ups who want to (re)learn it from scratch deeply (without home-works) and just for pleasure.

Move someplace that isn't stupid. In the middle of a forex crisis they're being cute with inward remittances.

Bank is asking to raise invoice with Google for adsense revenue that Google sends every month automatically without any invoice 🤦‍♂️ Without this, they will not release the payment. Thanks for this new regulatory hell @SmalhotraRBI. Anyone knows what to do here?

Surat- Mohammad Sajid Ibrahim Mulla (51), took large cans of Himalaya Liv 52 Protec Liquid Veterinary Feed Supplement, intended for animals, and transferred the liquid into smaller 60 ml and 100 ml bottles. Sajid Ibrahim Mulla then allegedly affixed counterfeit labels bearing the name Himalaya Liv.52 Drops, a paediatric product, onto the bottles to pass them off as medicine suitable for children. A team from the Surat Special Operations Group raided the medical store in Gopipura locality in Surat and arrested its owner Sajid Ibrahim Mulla. The culprit in order to conceal his identity used a Hindu name for his medical store ‘Shri Shantinath Medical Store. Mulla sold the product at twice its price. His misdeed and criminal activity seriously endangered the health of innocent people and children. The veterinary version: Is not formulated for human physiology. Has no human safety testing. May contain different concentrations or additives not meant for human consumption. The culprit is Mohammad Sajid Ibrahim Mulla.

Never fire people in the month leading to Diwali. It’s just not a good thing to do, even though you personally might be an atheist.

In an open society government has to be gaslighter - just as parents have to gaslight kids sometimes when they act unreasonable In a cantonment society government can just have its way - like drones asking people to stay indoors during pandemic Lets admit it we are not a democracy of swedes or swiss or city state in classical greece. We are a democracy largely of kids in adult forms So Nanny has to be gaslighter-in-chief, because the kids will optimize for instant selfish gratification over long-termism each time
Government is the Gaslighter-in-Chief That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.

🚨 BREAKING: NOW JAVA IS FACING A CRITICAL SECURITY EMERGENCY. Oracle has issued an OUT-OF-BAND security alert for a dangerous 9.1/10 vulnerability affecting Java and GraalVM. And the most alarming part? Hackers could exploit vulnerable applications REMOTELY, without a password or ANY user interaction. Here's what's happening: → CRITICAL 9.1/10 FLAW: CVE-2026-91403 affects Java's JSSE security component. → NO LOGIN REQUIRED: Attackers could potentially exploit vulnerable applications remotely without authentication. → SENSITIVE DATA AT RISK: Successful attacks could expose, modify, or delete critical application data. → MULTIPLE JAVA VERSIONS AFFECTED: Oracle lists affected releases across Java 8, 11, 17, 21, 25, and 27. → GRAALVM ALSO AFFECTED: Oracle confirms the vulnerability impacts multiple GraalVM releases. → EMERGENCY PATCH ALERT: Oracle released an urgent security update rather than waiting for its next scheduled patch cycle. The list of critical vulnerabilities just keeps growing. If you operate Java applications or servers, CHECK YOUR SECURITY UPDATES NOW.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
CVE-2026-91403 is a JSSE certificate trust issue with eight compromised eMudhra intermediates having weak keys, enabling potential MITM on TLS if attacker intercepts traffic—not a direct remote exploit of Java apps or servers. oracle.com/security-alert… openjdk.org/groups/vulnera… bnowakowski.pl/psa-java-cve-2…

Bengali women are dancing in Durga Puja celebrations in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, and you are pessimistic about the future of the republic? Do you have no grace, no honour, no wisdom? How can you be so delusional, so petty, so weak? Instead of doing your duty - you demotivate others?

There is nothing to worry about. Nothing important is run on PHP or old software—except the water & electrical grid, a few government services like our missile defense systems and a handful of electrified fences at the zoo (for the lions, tigers and cobras).
