Jelani was a big mentor of mine at Berkeley and is the one who first got me into theory. I'm so happy I got to teach @addiscoder under him.
It's funny how we've both churned from theory to AI because of the great promise the bitter lesson offers.
Update: I've joined @AnthropicAI and taken leave from the university. Excited to work with many talented, mission-driven people on the defining technology of our time.
