Hey everyone! i’m léo, 22. i cofounded scroll in paris, we make the tiktok ads of 50+ apps
nobody opens tiktok hoping to see an ad. our whole job is making ads people don’t scroll past (1B+ views so far)
this account is the workshop. the briefs, the hooks that win, the takes that fail, and what 50 apps are testing every week
in paris this week and my calendar has some free mornings.
founders, anyone building something: let's grab a coffee. dm me.
nobody opens tiktok to watch an ad. they open it to watch people.
so we stopped making ads about apps. we make videos about people who happen to use one.
in june we shipped an app for our creators.
made in house by my cofounder nath, in a few weeks.
what still blows my mind is how accessible this has become with ai. you don’t need a tech team anymore to build the tool your company needs, you just need someone stubborn enough to start.
everyone is talking about ai ugc right now.
we're doubling down on real people filming on their phones, because that's what the feed still trusts.
real creators or ai avatars, where do you stand?

a week ago this account had zero posts. thank you to everyone who replied, followed, or just read along.
what should i post more of?
i'm 22 and i run a company in paris.
every week someone tells me the real opportunities are in san francisco.
i don't buy it. paris is one of the best places (for us) in the world to build consumer apps right now.
where are you building from, and would you ever move?
where are you building from?
we're a small team in paris, and this week i want to see how far this goes. drop your city 👇
what's working for apps on tiktok right now, from what we see across 50+ apps:
> memes recreated by a creator
> relatable pov with a caption
> duos with a best friend
> talking head "yapping" (costly, but it converts)
> carousels
fading fast: explainers and polished influencer ads. too clean for the feed.
we looked at 120+ tiktok ads that apps kept running for 3+ months.
no app keeps paying for an ad that doesn't convert. so these work.
here's what they had in common:
3. they felt like something was already happening.
like everyone had the app and you were late.
the app shows up at the end. by then you're curious.
we're looking for more creators in the us (or other markets).
not influencers.
if that could be you (or a friend), drop your tiktok below 👇
got recognized at an event at hexa house once, by someone who had been reading my linkedin posts.
we ended up talking for an hour about their app, their first creators, everything.
that's when i realized people actually read what we write, and it's a big part of why i'm posting here now.
