Oppression always has two sides to it. The one who does it. And the one who silently watches it. Don't be on either side. Society, Philosophy, tech in pinned!

There’s a simple framework for what consumer interfaces agents will replace: Does this task induce dopamine or cortisol? The interfaces for cortisol-inducing tasks (research, planning, scheduling, commodity shopping etc) will get replaced by agents The interfaces for dopamine-inducing tasks (TikTok, instagram, X, discretionary shopping, gambling, dating apps etc) will be insulated Scrolling is still the greatest form factor for delivering refined dopamine and agents won’t change that

This probably hits hard if you failed history in high school. Hitler was a far-Right fascist whose party was named the National Socialist German Workers' Party to attract working-class voters. Then he banned the Social Democratic and Communist parties, and sent socialists and communists to concentration camps.
Hitler was a far left socialist. Literally in the name of his party!

I swear SOMETHING broke in society since 2020 and nobody wants to talk about it. And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or COVID. I mean the FEELING of life. Everything reopened. We went back to work. Restaurants filled up. Events came back. But somehow life still feels… different. Years disappear faster. People feel more disconnected. Everything feels more expensive, stressful & rushed. And somehow we’re all constantly exhausted. I can’t even explain exactly what we lost. I just know life before 2020 felt more ALIVE. Tell me I’m not the only one who feels this.

Elon Musk found us here. We’re indigenous to this land.
If people dislike Elon Musk so much, why do they still use the platform he owns?

Heard of a top law firm completely cutting off Harvey and all API calls to Claude/OpenAI after they saw what openAI did with navier strokes Now hosting everything locally with GPUs they own, running Kimi and deepseek Think you’ll see a lot more of this going forward

i’ve said it before but call her daddy has done irreversible damage to women. The problem is that the host and most of her guests are objective tens and also rich. Their lives are significantly different than the average woman. It’s like an average man using Andrew Tate as his guide for his life.
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

In January 2025 my mom’s lung cancer spread to her brain. The drug with the best chance of helping her was approved in China but not here. A doctor told me, almost as an aside, that if she were Chinese she could buy it at a pharmacy. So I flew to Shanghai and came home with 26 boxes in my luggage. That was 19 months ago. My mom is still here, still working, and in her words has had an amazing three years. The drug was approved in China in 2023. The FDA approved it in July 2025. It still is not for sale here. I know of at least 30 Americans who have made the same trip. I have been scared to tell this story because I worried it could cost my mom access to the medicine keeping her alive. But the problem matters more than my silence. These drugs need to be developed and available here, and that means FDA reform. Art Allen at KFF Health News told our story this week. It also ran in The Washington Post. kffhealthnews.org/health-ind…

This sounds super cool until u see that the company with $200MM revenue is a data selling startup---- basically what everyone's doing nowdays. Became a data broker than any new innovation as a product
one of my yc batchmates had a co-founder breakup mid-batch, pivoted 8 times, and finally landed on an AI personal shopper, which also eventually shut down. his second company recently came out of stealth and now does over $200M in annualized revenue!

Buried in $SPCX's 10-Q: $561M of that record Q3 profit isn't rockets. It isn't Starlink. Boring Company raised a new round in September, so SpaceX marked up its stake in Elon's tunnel company and booked a $561M unrealized gain. No cash changed hands.
