A day off Friday, weather not the best but still decided to make the trip to one of our favourite places in Mid-Wales. Not disappointed as a Ring Ouzel was the days highlight!! #ElanValley

Drama at Langness #isleofman. In 4 photos a Kestrel ambushes an unfortunate Twite. Perched, hunting low, catch and carry off. Mixed feelings as Twite are a favourite of mine...

A 3 hour wait but the Croston Moss pallid harrier showed very well when it did finally show. Brilliant birds and always a pleasure to watch. Would have been nice to have a little less fog!
The Greater Short-Toed Lark at Whitburn yesterday. Great find by Mark Harper.

Thanks to @CraigerUK500 patience, eventually saw the back-on sleeping Jack Snipe at CVL y'day. Left my camera video recording it & was surprised to see that it had woken up when I checked thro' the long clip at home (Photo is a video-still frame converted to a Jpeg image).

This Zitting Cisticola looked rather grumpy yesterday even though the weather was a beautiful 21 degrees. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. #birds #birdphotography #birding #naturephotography #Alicante

A call from @PaulBirder had all of today’s plans go out the window. He had just found a Desert Wheatear at Ballycotton, Cork. The 9th for Ireland. 15 years after I dipped one in Dublin. A massive relief to score this evening as I fly to Hungary in 12 hours… @BirdGuides

After many years sifting through the local geese flocks, I finally turned up 2 red breasted geese with 3500+ pinks and a couple of barnies in fields between Carstairs Junction Bridge and Eastfield Farm. Great egret on Clyde also @Clydebirding @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Not a bird anyone expected in the centre of Dundee! Crag Martin at Cox’s Stack, 5 November 2026. Hopefully it has roosted on the stack overnight, only a few folk managed to catch up with before dusk.
