If salvation can’t be earned, then it also can’t be “unearned”.

God is not willing that any should perish. He will never stop loving us. He will go to any lengths to find us and the cross is proof. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“What is God’s will for my life?” Isn’t that the million dollar question. Our good friend @louiegiglio flipped my mindset on this years ago when he pointed out that the premise of the question is flawed. Purpose comes from ownership and nine tenths is knowing who owns who.

God didn’t invite suffering to the party, we did. But it is His will that our pain would not be wasted, and would instead produce glory in Christ. God doesn’t just leave us in our suffering to figure it out, He went first and became the ultimate example.
