Day 3 of my “two-hour delivery window.”
the fridge still hasn’t arrived.
i’ve taken three days off work, made 14 calls, and heard the same excuse every time: “our driver attempted delivery, but nobody answered.”
i was home for every single attempt.
today, i finally got a support agent who seemed willing to help. she put me on hold, came back, and said, “the driver uploaded proof that he was at your door.”
she emailed me the picture.
i opened it, ready to prove they were lying...

Imagine reporting a sexual assault and being asked why you went to that person's house, why you trusted them, why you didn't scream, or why you didn't report it immediately. These questions often focus on the victim's decisions instead of the accused person's actions. People react as though there is one correct way to respond to a frightening experience, even though individuals react differently to stress and trauma. A delayed report or a victim's decision to remain in contact with someone doesn't automatically mean the assault never happened. Investigations should examine evidence fairly, but victims shouldn't have to behave perfectly to deserve to be heard. Why do people expect victims to prove they were the perfect victim before they offer them basic compassion?
