For only a brief time today, there’s a possibility I was the most southerly Leeds fan on the planet. The southern tip of sea lion island, south of the Falklands’ mainland. Any further south is Antarctica! #lufc

An elderly customer died before paying his bodywork bill. No family, so I stuck an extra £5k on the invoice and posted it through his door. Months later, his estate paid up. Funded the wife's boob job. Still raise a glass to Bernard every week.

I earn £100 grand a year. I have a detached house. 2 cars and my wife is a full time home maker. I can just about afford this. I probably couldn’t afford the house I own if I was buying for the first time today. My salary puts me in the top 5% of earners in the UK. Top 5% to have a similar standard of living to Homer Simpson. That is a disgrace. We have a flatter salary distribution than Soviet Russia and the highest taxes and borrowing costs we’ve seen in generations. Success is almost impossible because our tax system means hard work makes you a stressed out tax cow, not wealthy and certainly not free. We need something radical. Less state. More family. Less handouts. More reward for risk. Instead. Tomorrow, Labour will offer another batch of policies which will send one message to aspirational Brits: why bother.
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area. Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer. Learn more about the change: toronto.ca/LocalSpeed

This is NOT a concert. This is NOT a festival. This is Gaza today. Tens of thousands of starving people running for a bag of flour 💔 This is what forced starvation looks like.

I’m convinced these are parody but there’s a nagging doubt creeping in that they’re serious
Quick message to Premier League fans praying for Manchester City to get relegated. Don't come begging when the Premier League becomes boring. Don't start asking the league to forgive us when you realise you've spent years watching us play football you can only dream of. Let us go and make the Championship the most entertaining league in Europe in peace. And please, don't start watching the Championship because of the good football. Stay in your Premier League and enjoy your football. You wanted us gone, so learn to live without us.

The sad thing is. Young fans think like this
4 Reasons why City can't be relegated 1. Billions of people will stop watching the Premier League and switch to the Championship just to watch City play. 2. The Premier League will lose relevance because people will lose interest in it. 3. The Premier League won't be able to compete in Europe properly, because we were the ones giving them PR on the biggest stage. 4. The Premier League will lose billions in revenue because City has one of the strongest fanbases in Europe. So if you're thinking Man City should be relegated, I'm sorry 😂. The Premier League can't risk all this.

There are not billions of viewers in the first place. Let alone for one club. Estimates around 1.87 billion viewers worldwide. winsportsonline.com/research/footb…

You've had a weekend every week of your life. 🇬🇧 Nobody told you where it came from. The lie-in. The Saturday game. The Sunday roast. ⚽ All of it began in the cotton towns of Lancashire. And it started with a whistle. 1840: A mill hand worked 6 days a week. 12 hours a day. Sunday was for church. Saturday was just another shift. So the workers took Monday off instead. They called it Saint Monday. 🍺 The owners called it idleness. They docked their wages for it. But a mill can't run without its hands. So the mills and the mill hands made a deal. Turn up on Monday. And on Saturday, the whistle goes at 2. 1850: Parliament made it the law. Every mill in Britain stops at 2 on a Saturday. Half a day. All their own. The other half day followed, trade by trade, over the next century. And what do you do with a free Saturday afternoon? You play football. The whistle went at 2. So kick-off was at 3. It still is. ⏰ 1879: A magazine printed a strange new word from Staffordshire: week-end. The world had no word for it. Because the world didn't have one. America was still working Saturdays in the 1920s. Lancashire had stopped at 2 for 70 years. Every weekend on earth started at a mill gate in the north of England. They teach you the mills. They never teach you that ordinary mill hands made Saturday happen. Nobody told you where it came from. It came from ordinary British people. That's what Proud Of Us is for. The mill hands made a deal and kept it. So do we. No sponsors. No ads. No agenda. Just people like you. Send this to someone who's off today. They gave you your Saturday. Give them a minute of it. 👇 proudofus.co.uk/support Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Greater Manchester police tried to bury this footage. This footage is from the night the two brothers were arrested at Manchester airport outside Rochdale police station. A group of Muslims gathered and was heard saying “we can cause riots because we can get away with it and that the “mother f***kers are going to get it” (referring to the police) they then proceeded to pelt the police station with eggs. Not a single police officer confronted the group and not a single arrest was ever made from this incident. I’m sharing this again as it was not widely circulated when it happened & to show the true scale of two tier policing & how the Muslim community is policed differently to white people.
