Look, the only correct take about watching Paul McCartney at 83 in 2026, on SNL no less, is that it’s a privilege to still witness him do this Has anyone shaped music quite like him? xitter.cf/canalmusicfeed/status/…

I like Richard but I think this is off. Bradford went from ~1% of the vote in 2023 to ~40% now. He gave the Chow campaign (which is a formidable machine) a real challenge, as evidenced by its hard turn negative in the 11th hour. I don't think there will be much, if any, regret
I think there are a lot of people on Toronto’s very powerful political centre/right who are going to wake up tomorrow wondering why they went all in on that guy of all the guys.

Valiant effort, but the Brady return game chants clear this, I’m afraid.
Full list of chants at Rogers Arena tonight: - He’s not signing - Where's your contract? - We want the Cup - Fuck you ass-hole - Quinn Hughes Sucks - Quitter! - Tank for DuPont - Makar is better Take a bow Canucks nation.

That’s three consecutive games with a >90% xG share for the Zetterlund-Stützle-Giroux line.

Per MoneyPuck, the Sens have allowed just 9 high-danger shots against (2nd-fewest in the NHL) thru 10 games. They continue to be one of the league’s elite chance-suppressing teams, and they’ve done it without a healthy D corps

This is a great sign for the Sens. With a high rate like that, they should be one of the better possession teams in the league again this season.
Panthers vs Senators - two of the best at winning battles. Emotion + heavy hockey - going to be a good one in Ottawa tonight. @SportsOnPrimeCA

This dude was off to a promising start this season, but he’s done so much to discredit himself in the last 24 hours that I might have to revisit my initial assessment
I think it’s odd behavior to spend money to attend a hockey game to yell at a 27 year old kid who made a decision he felt was in the best interest of himself and his family. I assume nobody in that Sens crowd ever changes their job? Brady could’ve left as a FA. He did you a favor

5v5 underlyings are improving, too. Since the 7-2 loss to STL, Sens have a 60% xG share, bringing their season mark back to 50%. There’s regression coming in goal, but we should expect more strong 5v5 play like last night moving forward.
Lost in all this fun is the 7-3-0 start

The Panthers are a good team. The Sens put them through the woodchipper last night.

Didn’t quite clock how much last night could move the needle for the Sens on the PR side. National positive coverage, respect gained around the league, fans getting their flowers… the whole thing landed way harder than expected. Org and fans earned that one.

As the kids say, low key, this was the best Easter Egg fan moment of the entire night.
A change of pace as Sens fans give a LOUD standing ovation to Lars Eller in his return to Ottawa 👀👏 Eller played 68 games for the Senators last season.

I hope the crowd pulls off the alphabet song tonight. Not only would it be an all-time chant, Trady could use the refresher.

“Brady was a good player for us who played hard for most of his time in Ottawa. He also isn’t a generational talent who left. If we want to debate the future of the Sens, it starts with being honest about what Brady was, what he will likely be, and what his time in Ottawa meant”

Coming today, a new thing from me: I’m gonna be writing about sports a bit Don’t want to have to put the sports stuff on ScrimshawUnscripted, so subscribe to the new sports substack - NHL musings, NFL analysis, plenty of Senators talk, plus rants about golf and whatever else too
