The racist abuse my friend and colleague @MothinAli has been subject to over the last week is appalling and unacceptable.
Enough is enough - our party won't be engaging with the Telegraph until they apologise for their racist and antisemitic cartoon. Mothin - we're with you.
The UK Green Party has said it will not engage with The Telegraph after the newspaper published a "racist and antisemitic" cartoon depicting deputy leader Mothin Ali (pictured) preparing to devour the severed head of party leader Zack Polanski.
“The Telegraph is pushing Islamophobia and antisemitism to try and divide our movement, but it won’t work," Ali said in a statement shared with The New Arab.
"Zack, myself and our entire party are united in support of Palestinians and against the racist drivel the Telegraph spouts.”

The magic money pot.
You know, the one they use for military spending, the one that keeps the wealthy from paying their fair share of tax, that funds the royal family and bails out failed businesses, banks and mad privatisations.

One thing united everyone in the assisted dying debate – the need to address the appalling underfunding of palliative and social care which inflicts so much avoidable suffering on people with terminal illnesses.
I’ve written this open letter to @andyburnham because every single day at work, I see how much more dignity, comfort, meaning and joy we could enable patients to experience at the end of their life, if only palliative and oscial care weren’t so appallingly underfunded.
I know it is unlikely you will ever see or read this letter, Mr Burnham. But I had to write it anyway.
Because a good death – with as little suffering and loss of dignity as possible – should surely be a basic human right for us all?
The underfunding of palliative care is denying too many people that right.
For far too long, dying people have simply not been a government priority.
You have the power to change that.
As a specialist in palliative medicine, I can only hope and beg you to do so.

Bad for health, environment.

Absolute bombshell. An activist exposes the UK legal system's terrifying descent into authoritarianism to protect Israeli arms factories.
The judge literally banned defendants from mentioning genocide and secretly reserved the right to sentence them as terrorists.

The jury who convicted them had no idea.

It's not just Starmer that needs to go.
It's permanent austerity. It's privatisation. It's a political system rigged for the profiteers, not the people.
It's the entire rotten Westminster establishment.
