At some point this kind of messaging about Russia but not Israel becomes its own unique, horrific kind of gaslighting. Look at how you speak about those you consider people. Look how you refuse to speak about Palestinians. It is deeply shameful, and unforgivably racist. Stop it.
Australia condemns Russia’s horrific attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing and injuring civilians including children. This gross violation of international law was carried out as many Ukrainians gathered for Palm Sunday - one of the holiest days of the year for those of the Christian faith. We stand unwavering in our support for Ukraine and for a just and lasting peace.

These proposed laws are f***** on so many levels, but here's just one. No more: • assembly at State Library, Flinders St Station or Fed Square • assembly outside Parliament (borderline) • marches down Swanston St or Bourke St Shallow attempt to ban freedom of assembly.

In the years I’ve been making Stuff The British Stole, the biggest lesson for me has been how much history hides behind politeness—polite plaques, polite speeches, polite monarchs. I don’t have Lidia Thorpe's life experience, and it’s not appropriate for me to offer commentary on her actions. But let’s be clear on one thing: the British Empire was not a polite enterprise. Like most, it was built on conquest, power, and, yes, things were truly stolen. Many things that have not been returned or in some cases even acknowledged. It was not a polite empire.

Please can we have more reporting like this
“Al Jazeera and Anadolu both covered Hassan Hamad’s death. As did several pro-Palestinian sites. But there has been little or nothing in the mainstream media which is remarkable. Are we now so hardened to journalists being targeted?” #MediaWatch

So the concept art Dutton stole wasn't even of a small modular reactor, but of a factory that *makes* SMR's. A factory that's now been cancelled. The incompetence is almost impressive.
Peter Dutton used a Rolls Royce SMR concept image in his nuclear brain fart announcement. I guess he didn’t see this article from April 👇😂 “Rolls Royce pulls plug on £200m plans for small modular reactor factory.” building.co.uk/news/rolls-ro…

The awful horrific sad thing in this entire incident is not that cops don’t get a float. They are not entitled, it is a privilege, and many of us don’t want them there ANY year, let alone when the rotten system just resulted in two murders of people in our community. Get a grip

Question for men: I recently found out that some men regularly think about restoring the seven gems of the belt of Deltora, solidifying an enduring friendship with their travel companions, defeating the Shadow Lord and bringing peace to the realm. Menfolk, do y'all do this?

Yesterday, I had the honor of meeting with a delegation of Australian members of parliament to discuss the inhumane detention of Julian Assange for the crime of committing journalism. Currently, the first amendment is under assault in America and Assange has been in detention for over 11 years. The same type of prosecution is being conducted by China against Australian journalist, Cheng Lei, for exposing the CCP. America should not be treating journalists in the same manner as communist China. I will work with our allies in Australia to return Assange home, where his fellow citizens support his release at levels of around 90%. This is not a partisan matter. The Australian delegation had members ranging from the far-right to the far-left. Julian Assange’s charges should be dropped and he should be pardoned. America should be a beacon of free speech and shouldn’t be following in an authoritarian regime’s footsteps.

Continual vilification of trans people means that instead of having a discussion about a serious healthcare gap for those suffering from endo, blue checks are screaming shitting crying over the using inclusive language. This "culture war" hurts everyone, not just queer people.

As a renter in Australia, your government sold you out for the low sum of $66,000. Instead of doing anything to help your situation immediately, they’ve promised to build 1.2 million homes so these private interests can profit. They are the problem.
