My little girls (now big girls!), adopted from foster care, arrived with few possessions - but each had been given a box of books by @Booktrust. These books, read together, became our first shared memories.

GARDP is acting now to change this. In this video, Astrid Pentz-Murr explains how #REVIVE is connecting researchers worldwide to accelerate innovation.

Watson is looking at you - yes, YOU. Small Bomb at Dimperley is out in paperback in a month, and I have two signed copies to give away. RT before tomorrow tea-time (4.45pm) and Watson will choose the person he likes the look of most. Bribes possibly accepted.
Eye-opening. And so important
Thanks to @marieclaireuk for inviting me to write about misogyny in schools and to the teachers for sharing their stories.

As someone who has also written a novel in a future without antibiotics, creating near future worlds is fascinating and terrifying, isn’t it? Would have loved to go to this talk. 🙂 do you have a blog about this?
Really engaging session with the Chiltern Writers, where @PJMahon asked some excellent questions about my writing process, research & building near-future worlds.
Thanks to Patrick & everyone who came, I really enjoyed chatting about writing with such an enthusiastic bunch!

This woman may influence UK laws for decades.
The public are entitled to know why Charlotte Owen was given a seat in the House of Lords by Boris Johnson.
The reason for her elevation is the very definition of an issue of public interest.
I want to know, do you?

We thought Dido Harding disappearing £37bn in two years was bad.
Then Truss and Kwarteng wasted £74bn in an afternoon.
Why aren’t they on trial?

The government's failure to compensate the 3.8 million #WASPI women is a disgrace. They were given the bombshell news that their state pension age was going to increase from 60 to 66, just as they were about to retire when it was too late to properly financially plan.
WASPI Women deserve compensation now
Joanna Cherry calls on the UK Government to immediately compensate WASPI women whose state pension age was change from 60-66 without proper notice.
