I find the timing of the EGC exploit and mitigation interesting, even a bit suspicious, especially after the events of the last couple of days.
Starting off:
The team bricked the staking contract 3 minutes AFTER the exploiter had sold the last of their EGC.
The team has stated that the exploit was ongoing and they had to pull the LP to keep it from getting drained by the exploiter.
With the staking pools ended and the rewards removed, the exploit was effectively mitigated by the team. Additionally, without any tokens the exploiter would not be able to use the compound function to accumulate additional tokens to sell off.
Now, the team/Paul are working with the known exploiter of the BBTF contract to dox @0xskye. Paul has already posted her name twice and threatened her with releasing her address and additional info if she doesn't delete all the negative posts she has about EGC.
The fact that the team is currently working with a known exploiter further brings into question the timeline and events around the exploit.
For example, Sam stated the LP has never been touched in the history of the project.
Yet in this instance, the team did not re-lock it on 8/1 as they normally would have, this allowed them to pull the LP hours after the exploit effectively killing the EGC contract that Sam has wanted to replace for some time.

Sam has also stated that he has all of Skye's info and spoke about suing her for defamation, Sam has also threatened other holders with lawsuits and stated the law firm who is working on contingency is willing to take on additional defendants because they want the publicity. With that fact, I would like to know the firm's name. It can't hurt to publish it since they are looking to get their name out there.
It seems to me like there needs to be a lot of questions answered by the team as to the events around the exploit and why they are working with a known exploiter, unfortunately communicating is difficult because Sam and the team block anyone who questions them and Sam has been deleting evidence.
Sam has stated that he reached out to @coffeebreak_YT and @zachxbt, I hope that is true as I believe this situation needs to be looked into.

I was surprised that the LP happened to be left unlocked on 8/1, when the EGC X account said it was re-locked every 3 months since launch.
They said it would only be accessed in case of a contract upgrade, why would it have been left unlocked for work not related to the token contract?
And why was the LP extracted 5 hours after the exploit was mitigated by emptying the staking pools? If the LP was as risk wouldn't it have been pulled right away?

Two critical vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, a widely used programming language that powers websites and web applications. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) could allow malicious cyber actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks.
The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now:
➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.
➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP.
➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation.
➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims.

"There are no complete mitigations, updating is the only safe choice," PHP says.
Update to PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 or 8.2.35 now.
PHP says Apache with mod_php is most at risk, with a demonstrated exploit that fires before any application code runs.
PHP 8.1 and older get no official update, though PHP has published source backports for 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1.

🚨 PHP warns of two critical vulnerabilities as emergency patches arrive tomorrow
The PHP security team will release updates on October 21 at 14:00 UTC for two vulnerabilities, each rated 9.2 under CVSS v4.0.

Security researchers identified the flaws as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 and described them as remote code execution vulnerabilities reportedly affecting PHP versions 5 through 8.
PHP has not yet confirmed the affected versions, exploitation requirements or fixed releases.

The vulnerabilities were reportedly leaked before their planned disclosure. Researchers said they have not observed active exploitation, while PHP warned it may release the patches early if technical details become public or exploitation is detected.

Administrators should identify PHP installations now and prepare to apply the updates as soon as they become available.

I would love nothing more than for the internal server to be released to the public without deleting and hiding folders and conversations. I would also love for all emails to be released. Emails between the "interim committee" and emails between myself and Sam. Release the files, release the internal server, release the internal chats that are (perhaps were) on the public server, release the documents, release the emails, release it all. Let everyone see.

During this period and in perpetuity, the sole trustee controls the socials and controls the project. The trust unbeknownst to the community existed the whole time. Initially the committee was hand picked, me being one of the hand picked puppets. The goal was to run the show without even telling the puppets that thought they were an independent committee. The one that resisted the strings was left standing and out came the fact that there was a trust with a sole trustee. That sole trustee and largest holder thanks to the secret personal token holder position he put himself in pushed out a fake vote that wasn't binding and now he has his few puppets back to run the day to day socials, yeah, right... The trustee that intentionally included public wallets that were believed to be the Project's tokens on a private list with the intent on concealing new wallets thanks to the block chain switch from BCS to SOL.
The trustee runs the socials and owns the socials. The trustee controls his puppets yet again, less one. The puppets that borrow money from one another in hopes that the trustee will change their lives. The puppets that sold their Cedar tokens a very long time ago.
The trust controls the project until the trust relinquishes control in writing. Don't believe control has been relinquished until the legally binding document is publicly released and authenticated. The trust has not been authenticated.
Oh the conflict of controlling the project and controlling the seperate entity that controls Atlas Wallet. It's all still the same people, educate yourselves. Don't be fooled by the fancy words and intimidation.

Crypto has spent years selling financial freedom, life-changing wealth, and the idea that the old rules don’t apply.
Now HEX founder Richard Heart is reportedly detained in Istanbul following a Finnish Interpol Red Notice related to alleged tax fraud.
The irony is hard to miss.
The SEC’s separate case against Heart was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds in 2025, not decided on the merits. The current reports are allegations, not a conviction.
But the broader lesson for crypto remains:
Decentralized technology doesn’t make the people building around it immune to accountability.
If this industry wants institutional adoption and mainstream trust, credibility has to matter as much as code.
