Want to quickly share the local site/app with your friend? Put this snippet in your .bashrc/.zshrc and you should be good to go! share() { ssh -R 80:localhost:$1 [email protected] } Thanks, @localhost_run! #developers #development #bash

I just discovered localhost.run and it is amazing. For the @PaddleHQ integration I’m building for FeatureCat, I need to forward Paddle’s subscription webhooks to localhost on my machine. It provides super simple SSH’ing from a public url to my Mac in seconds.

#ngrok の代わりに @localhost_run を試してみましたが、sshだけで済むのでシンプルでいい感じ。しばらくこっちを使ってみることにする。
Just discovered @localhost_run. An awesome tool for easily showing your project to someone else right from your localhost without having to deploy it.

A few peeps have asked me about running a localhost.run tunnel as a service on their OS. I'm exploring writing the config to make this easy but which operating system should I work on first?

and you get free SSL from @letsencrypt on your @localhost_run for your .dev google domain which runs best over SSL!

want to run your localhost and show it to someone online? the fastest is localhost.run! well done @localhost_run for the great service. I just subscribed to use my bashar.dev and show my colleagues some @djangoproject playing on my #Thinkpad and @ubuntu 😆

If, after reading this thread, you want localhost.run on a custom domain with HTTP only (HTTPS coming soon), go to admin.localhost.run to sign up for a custom domain paid plan :)
i'm launching custom domains today as a paid plan option. BUT before you all rush off to buy a plan, they don't do HTTPS yet, they only offer TLS passthru. If you want HTTPS and don't know what TLS passthru is please don't sign up yet, you'll be disappointed
tl;dr, if your framework runs on 127.0.0.1 and you can't connect, try set your tunnel to explicitly use 127.0.0.1 like so: ssh -R 80:127.0.0.1:8080 ssh.localhost.run
If you need a simple way to setup webhooks in docker dev environments, check out github.com/avinson/localhost… @localhost_run
