The Affinity Designer 2 iPad app is hands down the best mobile design tool I've used yet. In this tutorial I used it to create letter logos with gradients applied. If you want to follow the full tutorial than look up Make It Mobile on YouTube and it's my most recent upload there.

Use these free vector lens flare designs to add a realistic reflection of shining light to your artwork. Just set the blend mode to "color dodge" or "soft light" depending on the image.

Free vectors: use these vector silhouettes of 25 common dog breeds for crafting logos and vector illustrations. Each silhouette depicts a side profile of a common dog breed with a minimalistic style that is suitable for various types of art.
Inkscape is the free and open source alternative to Adobe Illustrator, but is it any good?
Although a powerful tool with everything you need for vector design at a professional level, Inkscape is not without its shortcomings.
Some of the downsides of using Inkscape is that it crashes often, it lacks support for CMYK output, and it can be difficult to use downloadable assets that were made in Illustrator and contain Illustrator-specific traits that Inkscape can't interpret.
On the other hand, the benefit of using Inkscape is that it's free, it's more widely-available across devices, has fewer hardware requirements, and doesn't spy on you or collect data.
