The thing is Dolly would love this
CNN has apologized to the family of Dolly Parton after the network incorrectly showed a photo on the air of a Dolly Parton tribute artist instead of the singer herself.
In an interview with the New York Post, the Dolly impersonator said: “I started getting all these texts in from friends saying that I was on CNN, and I couldn’t believe it. I was already heartbroken at losing Dolly because of how much she has given to me as a woman and an artist. But then to see these images of me on screen was just weird.”

In 1975 Joni met up with Dolly Parton and Bonnie Raitt to play an early version of Hissing Of Summer Lawns.
In 1988 Mitchell told Capital Radio, “[Dolly] said to me quite shyly after the record was played back, ‘My God, if I thought that deep, I’d scare myself to death.’”
RIP 🤍
