The Replace functions allow you to replace a portion of a track. When a recorded track is playing, pressing Replace will start recording on the track, replacing the original audio until Replace is pressed again. Replace +Original functions exactly the same as Replace, but the
This tutorial covers the Choose User Pattern function. User patterns behave like the 2 Ostinato functions which are covered in the Scramble and Ostinato modes tutorial, which is linked here: youtube.com/watch?v=P3CM15DG…
There are 8 available patterns, which are

After selecting the Pad number or MIDI message type you want to use to select a User Pattern, you will select 2 functions - Choose User Pattern followed by Select Track #. The Selected track number will be the pattern
number applied.
Once patterns have been applied, undo will step backwards as many steps as available memory will allow.

The 3 multiply functions are very simple and straightforward - applying multiply times 2 to a recorded loop doubles the length of the loop. The loop is repeated once to fill the doubled length. The undo function returns the loop to its original state. For all multiply functions,
each application applies the multiply amount to the result of the previous application, so for example, applying Multiply times 2 a second time creates a loop 4 times the length of the original. Multiply times 3 triples the length of the loop. The loop is repeated twice to fill
the tripled length. Multiply times 4 quadruples the length of the loop while repeating it. The loop is repeated three times to fill the quadrupled length.

This video explains the 2 remaining Record/Dub functions not covered in pt. 1 - Rec/Dub MIDI Sync Now and Rec/Dub MIDI Measure Sync, each of which require MIDI clock to be present.
Rec/Dub MIDI Sync Now works in conjunction with the MIDI Beats Per Measure setting in the main
next downbeat to begin recording, and the next time you apply it, it will wait until the next downbeat to stop recording. Note that if the LED is flashing only green, the LoopPad has not seen the MIDI Start command. In this case, the device from which you are sending MIDI clock
will have to be stopped and restarted. All new MIDI Measure Sync Record tracks will be integer multiples of 1 measure in length.
