The #loss of a sibling #Brother or #Sister is devastating. I lost my Sister in 2011 to BRAC1 breast cancer & created this space so we can help each other 💙

On average there is at least one bereaved child in every UK classroom. Teachers need skills to manage class time & activities, prepare students for return & support of a bereaved classmate, even to support classes bereaved of a pupil or teacher. @alansteinoxford @lemondropbooks
In our latest podcast we're discussing grief in the classroom. Among others we hear from head teacher Dr Louise McGowan who says "training in bereavement care for all frontline staff who work with children is absolutely essential." artofdyingwell.org/press-rel… @stclaudinesnw10

This unit on Humber Street is currently being converted into @TommyCoyle89's new bar called - Barrow Boys. I'm told there's a few surprises planned for the new venture too. You can hear all about the project on @RadioHumberside with @bbcburnsy tomorrow.
