I think the word Retard is one of the most important in the modern lexicon. It perfectly describes what’s happed to what was at one time the most productive and creative demographic in American society.
They have been retarded.
They have been intentionally and methodically slowed.
Unlike other groups who were fighting for access to institutions, there is only one group I can think of that was ostracized and kicked out of institutions they created and then targeted, even in grade school, so that their talents, powers, and, ultimately, success were actively resisted and thwarted.
A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker.
It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.

Okay, so she's definitely raising taxes.
And the newly elected Legislature looks set to hold supermajorities in both houses, meaning they could override her veto even if she objected.
She won't.
But here are some facts.
Universal childcare: $12-15 billion a year.
Housing: $100 billion over ten years, much of it borrowed.
Free buses: $700 million to $1 billion a year.
That's roughly $24 billion a year in new commitments. The biggest tax hike on the table raises $5.2 billion. The math doesn't close.
And it all sits on top of $233 billion in state, NYC and MTA debt that already costs us about $1.8 billion a month.
So who pays?
99,404 millionaires pay 44.6% of all state income tax. Just 799 corporations pay 75.7% of all corporate tax.
Every new tax lands on this small, mobile, fragile group. And they can leave. Many will.
When they do, everyone feels it, including the unions who put her in power.
A fiscal mess in the making.
After campaigning on no new taxes, Gov Hochul tells reporters she is open to new taxes ‘if there is a need’ nypost.visitlink.me/bFAjjk

America is a Latin American country now, so let me explain politics:
We elect communists to kill the rich. But communism brings poverty & crime. So we elect fascists to kill the communists. But the fascists hand the economy to oligarchs. So we elect communists to kill the rich.

NYS taxes are coming in $8B faster than forecast. The "need" for new or higher taxes just isn't there.
It’s strange that neither Russia nor Ukraine really used media space to shape the conflict with the same veracity and effectiveness of Gaza.
Granted, there was already a sympathetic audience built in and primed for Gaza, the footage I’ve seen from Russia/Ukraine as it relates to forced conscription, mass graves, torture, and the gamified and depersonalized impact of drone warfare have been equally disturbing and gut-wrenching.

Ten months in on socialism. Here goes.
New York City is spending a fortune on services for individuals in need of housing and this is the result of the hands off policies of this administration and the refusal to hold the NGO’s accountable.
I realize we are shouting into the wind in NYC today. But we are going to keep shouting . It’s our right and our duty.
In this environment it takes courage for anyone in office to call out anything so thank you @vmmaloney .
@OneCityRisingNY
I walked by 23rd and the FDR drive yesterday to this.
My office has repeatedly reported issues at this intersection. DSS has offered temporary fixes, but the problem persists.
This is unacceptable. We need an encampment tracking plan that translates into immediate, coordinated action btn city agencies. New Yorkers deserve safe public spaces, and those living on our streets deserve meaningful assistance.

Suspend disbelief for a second.
Pretend my deceased ancestors come back. And I was able to *explain face-to-face to my WWII and Korean Conflict veteran grandfathers, my Vietnam veteran father, and my great (x3) grandfather who fought for the Union at Gettysburg in 1863 with the NYS Militia, that an elected congresswoman in New York City authored a post smirking about wiping her dirtied hand on the American flag, was elected to Congress in 2026, and on election night, wrapped herself in a “keffiyah” (not the flag of her own country), and this was somehow “normal” and barely newsworthy …
People somehow voted for her.
This is our America now. 😢😢😢
Thoughts and prayers and cheap eats from doordash.
Our city is in mourning. Earlier today, a devastating fire in Sunset Park claimed six New Yorkers.
My heart is with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and I am praying for the full recovery of those who were injured, including 3 heroic firefighters.
This is a heartbreaking tragedy, and I am deeply grateful to the first responders who rushed to the scene to put their own lives at risk to save others.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. The presence of lithium-ion batteries at the scene is a serious concern, and more must be done to encourage and mandate safe storage practices. Enough is enough.
