Our previous CUSTODIAN regularly dismantled squads with no apparent plan letting contracts run down, refusing to sell players and leaving us scrambling late in pre-season to field a team. Blowing a squad up and integrating multiple signings ahead of a season isn’t something a sane person would do. Through no fault of their own, the new owners inherited almost nothing. They’ve had to recruit virtually an entire squad under restrictions and somehow make it competitive. The difference is that David Storch has put proper football people in place. The work they’ve done to assemble a team at all, never mind one sitting top of the league, is nothing short of miraculous. There’s a hell of a long way to go, but enormous credit to everyone involved, especially the manager, for getting this team out of the blocks and firing. It can’t be a case of the off the pitch team gaining credit when we win and Henrik taking stick when we don’t, this season. They’re all currently working wonders. Unbelievable. 🦉 #SWFC
