From the forced prepayment meters scandal to the RTS switch off and from Winter Fuel Payments to energy scams, You & Yours has provided vital airtime to discuss and analyse energy issues affecting millions of people in recent years. This is the wrong decision by BBC bosses.

Latest (multi-platform!) offering from You and Yours - the ICO's investigating a big spike in those 'add me on WhatsApp' calls you might well have been getting bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqd0

Axing You and Yours means BBC bosses are cutting off another strong voice for energy customers across the UK. From forced prepayment meters and the Radio Teleswitch (RTS) switch-off to Winter Fuel Payments and energy scams, You and Yours has shone a light on energy issues affecting millions of people. Given that energy giants have made over £125 billion from their UK operations since the energy bills crisis began, scrutiny of the industry, practical advice and a platform for people struggling with their bills is essential. We’re calling on the BBC’s Director-General and Board to save You and Yours, protect its place in the Radio 4 schedule and grow its impact and reach through the BBC’s digital channels. Help protect this vital voice for consumers. Sign and share the petition: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio

“You and Yours is one of Radio 4’s heritage titles. It is loved by audiences and has solid listening figures, which have increased since Covid...The BBC has been inundated with thousands of messages protesting the loss of this specialist consumer programme."
The NUJ BBC Audio chapel said: “The BBC’s decision to cut You and Yours alongside other much-loved TV and radio programmes utterly undermines the BBC’s core mission to ‘act in the public interest’ and provide ‘high-quality and distinctive output.’” nuj.org.uk/resource/bbc-cuts

Been a tough day for the You and Yours team. We are very proud to make this programme and are devastated by the news. Thanks for all the kind messages from our listeners. They mean a lot 💜
Always been proud to work for You and Yours. I’d say it’s a pretty good example of public service journalism but what do I know bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmly

Are you a keen second hand clothing shopper? Where do you go for it? Have you noticed a decline in quality in charity shops? If any of these areas covers what you do, and you fancy a chat, email [email protected] #journorequest #fashion #clothing #vinted #depop
