Y’all do understand we’re not voting ourselves out of this right
I’m old but I will still fight but you younger people better start getting ready
There’s no way we will ever take this country back by voting

It’s going to be two years of investigations, hearings, probably impeachments.
Possible silver lining - the democrats usually overplay their hand when they feel the wind in their sails. People might get tired of the grandstanding - and the GOP could bounce back in 28.

Charlotte was very distressed by the constant metallic taste in her mouth, which she found extremely frustrating. Her neutrophils were low too, which would affect her body’s ability to fight off infections. She would need a GCSF injection to stimulate her bone marrow.
We also saw the dietician, as Charlotte was really struggling with eating and drinking because of the ongoing pain when swallowing. She said her mouth tasted stale, and this was putting her off eating and drinking only managing a very small bowl of cereal for breakfast and some tea.
The team were very supportive and were trying to find ways to help Charlotte. We were also given some Scandishakes, which are high-calorie milk drinks, to help increase her calorie intake. Charlotte was still very anxious about gaining weight, but she had lost another 0.5 kg over the past week. She would continue to be reviewed

Charlotte’s platelet count was low at 48, and we were immediately told that she would have to come off chemotherapy because of this. Tomorrow she will have her G-CSF injection. Very tired today, with all the travelling and radiotherapy taking its toll. They had also agreed to reduce her morphine even further.
Research carried out in Charlotte's Lab at King's College London covers all types of brain tumours, helping the wider brain tumour community. We are a small, entirely self-funded charity, which means 100% of your donation goes directly to research. No salaries. No overheads. No advertising. No merchandise.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
I support universal basic get off your @ss and work like everybody else.
I’m like that. Partly because my high school creative writing teacher drilled it into us and the habit never left. But also, as an indie writer, I don’t really ever figure to get rich from it. I’ve sold, between my six or seven titles, around a hundred copies- and that’s really, over the years, pocket change. But the fact that I reached that many people is just the greatest blessing to me. It’s also why my little fiction substack is completely free. I just want to reach people.
A genuine writer wants to be writing all the time - not just to attain fame for ‘having written.’ Someone like Kafka, or Thomas Mann is journaling almost every day. Almost graphomania.
You read this stuff about people winning prizes for AI written pieces - they can’t be real writers. They’re looking for acclaim - not doing it as a compulsion.
This gives me a little hope that genuine original writing will survive - because some people just can’t help it, and maybe will break through.

What if the money you donated to a charity could tell you how it had been spent and what a difference it's made to research into brain tumours.
Charlotte was just 19 when she died from glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumour. Ten years ago, Miles and I set up a charity in her name because we couldn't accept that her life would simply become another statistic.
We are a small, completely self-funding charity. We both work full time and run the charity in our own time. We don't take salaries, and we cover the charity's running costs ourselves.
That means 100% of every donation goes to brain tumour research at King's College Hospital, London.
We don't just hand over the money and hope for the best. Before making a donation, we are given detailed information about how the money will be spent and the research it will support. We can then tell our supporters exactly where their donations have gone.
We've raised over £411,000 so far which started with Miles and me shaking a collection tin in Brighton.
Our next target is £500,000.
You don't need to give a fortune. Pop a pound in Charlotte's BAG. If enough people do, those pounds become thousands and thousands can help fund research that could change the future for people diagnosed with brain tumours.
Charlotte never got the chance to see the future she dreamed of.
We're determined that her story will help create a better one for others.
Please donate if you can, and RT this post if you can't. Every pound really does matter.
Latest update from Charlotte's Lab:
Currently, we have a single sequencer with a dedicated computer to run it and this set up allows us to analyse two patient samples at once. Planned brain surgery takes place on specific days and therefore on some days we receive more than two samples at a time. When this happens, the lab has to sequence the first two patient samples that come through the door, and the other patient samples have to wait. Therefore, having another sequencer and computer will allow us to sequence up to four cases at the same time. This is sufficient sequencing capacity to cope with most planned surgery days. Having two instruments will also provide contingency, if there are technical issues with one sequencer the lab will still be able to provide a level service until the other instrument is repaired. It would not be safe to go live with a service without this level of contingency. We are very thankful for the support of Charlotte's BAG charity for this donation.

What a pathetic end to the great Empire, to be conquered and occupied by a bunch of 3rd century goat fuckers
I’ll do that-plus
My first poem:
"Recitations of a Ghost"
Odd how one becomes accustomed to those things
which at times
can be frustrating or frightening.
They built their structure atop my home,
confusing me with their maze
and hurting me with their burning, blinding light.
Perhaps it is their life-force
which attracted me to them.
The inner light that doesn't harm.
Damn frustrating of them to run in fear
when I tried to get close.
How easily they forget
that I was once one of them.
Now I have to wonder if I was responsible for their leaving.
Wonder if they're gone forever,
leaving me alone in this dead structure.
Wonder if I'll ever again know
the love that only one of them could offer.
Farewell, luminous beings.
-
Then rewritten decades later as this-
I've crawled like a queen among the worms
the nameless
faceless
who lived on their needs
and pleas
and thank you kind sir
the people I looked away from
and now they're dining
on me
for I'm food
for the worm
that fed a fish
that fed a beggar
sorry Bard for stealing your poetry
but now I'm the beggar
even made to borrow words
whose spirit walks the dark
consigned to the aether
to spy upon
the creatures of light
the once destitute
that now are kings
the once who feared to meet my eyes
who now laugh
at the thought of me
and now I'm a myth
like I was never a queen
but a sad joke
like old meat
cold and hard on a table somewhere
that once was attractive
and tasty
and now is only fit for the trash
so why must I walk still
my restless perturbed spirit
won't lie down
like any corpse
rotting in the common dirt
still I walk
like there's purpose
and sometimes
when they're busy fearing the sudden cold in the dark
I fancy one
kiss him on the cheek
and walk away

I just heard the craziest recommendation on
the radio. Apparently it’s a new trend to rub banana peels on your skin for antioxidants and a youthful appearance. It’s being touted as the new Botox. Radio lady says experts warn against this (it may cause more harm than good), and encourage people to stick with science backed treatments (like injecting toxins in your skin). Avoiding mild natural treatments in favor of injectable toxins is really something. We really are the most propagandized society.

If Israel really wanted to cause a Genocide in Gaza, they could have done it in 2 hours. Instead, they painstakingly did MORE to avoid civilian casualties than ANY country in ANY War ever has done.
WOW: @BillMaher utterly DESTROYS the “Gaza genocide” narrative.
Yep—it’s TikTok propaganda.
And the corrosive effect of this lie is not a meme or a joke—it’s real catastrophe in OUR society.
Everyone drunk on anti-Israel slop needs to hear this👇🏼
