Very proud of @JonStaloff ! I can testify first-hand that an incredible amount of time, thought, passion and energy went into this project. Very happy to see this book in print...and completed.
Along w @joshliaotweets & @jhjoo9, I had the privilege to co-author "Reshaping Health Systems: What Drives Health Care and How You Can Change It". This book is a foundational resource for learning essential US health systems knowledge bit.ly/4ebVc3u (25% off: WQA001AA)

In their new Forefront article, @JonStaloff + @annamorenz from @vahsrd + @harborviewmc discuss how the MCP model represents a step forward in centering primary care infrastructure as the focal point of US health care, moving toward value-based payment. bit.ly/3KKA2Oe

"Despite this clear need for enhanced investment in primary care, the 2023 legislative session was a profound disappointment for primary care, and legislators and Gov. Inslee should double down on efforts to improve support of primary care in our state." southseattleemerald.com/2023…

Racism continues to be perpetuated in medicine through our clinical practice guidelines. Let’s interrogate systemic racism and barriers to differences in outcomes…it’s racism, not race. ja.ma/3aCaSSF @JAMAPediatrics @EdwinLindo @CalltheCNM @JoelTieder

Most respondents had burnout at baseline (74.7% in the MINdI arm and 60.3% in the control arm, month 6 (92.0% in the MINdI arm and 80.5% in the control arm), and month 15 (83.7% in the MINdI arm and 88.3% in the control arm). 🍕 🤷🏻‍♀️
A cluster randomized controlled trial of a novel mindfulness curriculum found no impact on pediatric intern burnout, mindfulness, or empathy. Ongoing research is needed to identify interventions that decrease burnout among trainees. ja.ma/3r5eFOp @FraimanYarden

We make up what we don't have in our paycheck in stickers and love for vaccines I love not seeing polio/hib/chicken pox/etc during my pediatrics training...and love hearing about how that was not the case for my attendings. vaccines work and save lives! how great!
Pediatricians make less than any other specialty. Most pediatric practices lose $ or break even administering vaccines. And most pediatricians would say that vaccines are the MOST important thing they do. Those telling you otherwise are probably trying to sell something.
