My co-driver James was invited today to do a podcast with the Telegraph telling his story of a tough situation in the first Gulf War and our work in Ukraine. A really solid podcast to subscribe to about Ukraine. Check it out below.
James Hewitt and Hamish de Bretton-Gordon talk about all the latest events in Ukraine and about MAD Foundation’s Operation SafeDrop

A Christmas Message. Thank you for your continued generosity and support. I know everyone is feeling the pinch but please take moment this festive season to think of Ukraine.
We at Operation SafeDrop are nearly half way to our Cristmas Appeal target - please help spread the word to enable us to achieve our fundraising goal and all of our objectives:

A fantastic evening on the eve of Easter. Blessed to be invited to dinner with the Kyiv Baroque Consort by Maestro Nancy Milesis Romano which culminated in a very personal song being performed in the restaurant. MAD Foundation’s Operation SafeDrop continues to support with humanitarian deliveries in Ukraine to those who most need it. Slava Ukraini!
Please keep supporting our mission in Ukraine.
Each humanitarian drop per van per week costs between £250 and £400 depending on location and pick up points, warehouse refilling, fuel, local co-drivers subsistence and out of base accommodation.

'I see it as a duty to help those less fortunate than we are.'
James Hewitt describes how emotional he was when delivering aid to Ukraine and how important it was to team up with John Lawler, founder of Operation SafeDrop, to help those in need.

All sorts of folk are drawn to Ukraine, angered by the evil attacks & wanting to help. James Hewitt, former focus of much tabloid attention, is one of them. He works with @madfoundation’s Operation SafeDrop. I joined him on an aid mission to Chernihiv @GMB
James Hewitt on his 15th tour with Operation SafeDrop to initiate the start of our Phase 4 activities. He has started a JustGiving Page to help continue the vital work carried in Ukraine. Help us keep the wheels moving and to keep supporting Ukraine.

I love the question of how does it feel like in #Ukraine after several nights in a row of disturbed sleep, when your cortisol levels jump from being woken up by air sirens, you doze off in anxiety, wandering whether the decision to stay in bed this time was too reckless.
On this somber anniversary, Operation SafeDrop extends it's heartfelt sympathies to the friends and family of those who have lost their lives defending Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

In the run up to the two year anniversary of Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine, we have two events to mark it.
Our first event is a three course dinner on Monday evening (19 February) to raise funds for our humanitarian work with @madfoundation. Details in the flyer. /1
