In response to my tweet on night cleaning, I am receiving messages that night cleaning is no longer being carried out in #Puducherry as consistently as it was during 2016–February 2021.
Will the Hon’ble LG @LGov_Puducherry kindly order an immediate verification of the current night-cleaning arrangements, including whether the assigned personnel are reporting for duty and completing their work?
If the practice has been discontinued, may it please be restored without delay? If it is still officially in place, may responsibility and accountability be fixed to ensure that the assigned staff carry out their duties regularly and effectively?
Puducherry’s clean beaches and roads, including at night, were among the things that endeared it to visitors.
Let us preserve that legacy through prompt verification, effective supervision, and sustained action.

Night Cleaning is needed.
#Puducherry is cleaner comparatively primarily due to night cleaning. (there is it contracted)
All cities do need this.
Yes it has costs.
But makes the city cleaner and healthier. Delhi needs it.

Night cleaning can be ‘outsourced’.
