i wrote about Taika Waititi's delusional and embarrassing Instagram post, and how it reflects a deeper problem about the impacts of social media on the entire artistic ecosystem:

So many other things to remember and celebrate Sir Patrick Stewart for... but this has to be one of the best line readings in the history of The Simpsons

Shocking. Obscene. Bizarrely contemporary.
Horror drama The Devils is back and uncut, 55 years after it was banned – and is the buzziest film in cinemas this Halloween. Here's why audiences are going wild for its revival.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.
He was such a passionate campaigner against domestic violence too, as someone who experienced it as a child. Did such vital work as an ambassador for Refuge. Here he is arguing against gov cuts to DV safe houses in 2012:

Personally, one of my favourite horror performances is Patrick Stewart in Green Room (2015), playing very much against type as a Neo-Nazi leader and club owner. Completely chilling and understated. Kind of role you wouldn’t expect from him but he nails it.
Patrick Stewart was a remarkable and magnetic actor with such an immense body of work that it’s hard to pinpoint him for what would be his most memorable role. Deeply sad news. Rest in peace.

I’m 90% of the way to 60wpm at the moment, also low vision but I don’t use braille. For me it’s regular teeline with bold ruled notebooks and a bold pen.
Any time I get disheartened I read this story. If she can do 100, so can I.
