More info on fatal crash SB 167 this morning. WSP reporting 33 year old man from Tacoma was killed. 44 year old man from Roy suspected of DUI. WSP says victim had crashed and was likely out of his car when the suspect hit the victim and his car. @wspd2pio

Bellevue Police confirms this fatal crash involves a car and a bicyclist. Driver remained on scene. Impairment not suspected. All ramps to/from Bellevue Way remain closed.

Here’s today’s commentary. I’m just pointing out a pattern I’ve noticed over the past couple of months. Hard decisions seem to be hard for the mayor of Seattle. Part of the job is to make hard decisions.
There are often going to be two polarized sides you’re going to have to choose from. Sorry, that’s part of the job.
Mayor Wilson ran on Seattle's housing crisis. Her own executive order says permit applications are down 60%. Her response is a task force whose final recommendations are due in September 2027. "Rapidly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. @KIROCharlie digs in on today's commentary.
