Think of them like online shops, except they allow you to buy and sell digital assets. Some popular examples are OpenSea and Magic Eden. Here’s how it works: You visit a marketplace, connect your crypto wallet, browse available NFTs, and choose one you want to buy. Simple, right? 😅 But there’s something important to remember. Not every marketplace supports every blockchain, so make sure the platform supports the NFT you’re interested in. Also, always verify the collection before buying. Scammers sometimes create fake versions of popular NFT collections. And remember, you may need cryptocurrency to pay for the NFT and any applicable transaction fees. 𝐍𝐅𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 🧠 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟴: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀? Have you ever tried to mint an NFT and noticed that you had to pay an extra fee? That’s where gas fees come in. In simple terms, gas fees are payments made to process transactions on a blockchain. Think of them like a processing fee. For example, when you mint an NFT, you may have to pay a gas fee for the blockchain to process and record the transaction. You may also encounter gas fees when transferring an NFT or buying one on a marketplace. But here’s something important: Gas fees are not the same as the NFT’s price. Imagine an NFT costs $20 to mint, and the gas fee is $3. You may end up paying $23 in total. The actual amount depends on the blockchain, network activity and the transaction. Some transactions can have very low gas fees, while others can be surprisingly expensive. 😅 And depending on the blockchain and transaction, you may still pay a gas fee even if the transaction fails.
