Can you get an expert's "taste" and "judgement" out of their head and into an AI workflow? Yes. That’s the loop I run for personal tasks and work alike, and it works.

Last week I wrote about extracting an expert's judgement and taste into an AI workflow. But once you have the rules, how do you get the AI to follow them? I found eight enforcer mechanisms that make AI listen, so I built an arcade game to teach them.

If enough folks find this interesting, I'll publish a program that studies your ugliest AI skill and turns its instructions into a format that enforces all your rules, so the AI can't skip steps.

What if you can't read every run? Say you built a support agent that's answering 800 tickets a day; then you can build a system where the review becomes a monitor. Every conversation is automatically checked against the rulebook, and you only read (1) the failures that didn't pass the rulebook, (2) a sample of the convos that passed to make sure system is working, and (3) all other conversations you want your eyes on such as convos with a satisfaction score of 7/10 or less. If you spot anything that sucks and has no rule enforcing it, you can extract a new rule and add to the rulebook.
