Yaxel Lendeborg scored 37 points to lead Golden State to victory, the most by a Warriors rookie in a game since Stephen Curry had 42 in 2010.
Lendeborg is averaging 22.3 PPG this season, he's the 3rd player in Warriors history to average 20 PPG over his first 7 career games, behind only Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain (37.4 in 1959-60) and Rick Barry (22.9 in 1965-66).

I was accidentally a guest on the best WNBA podcast 😆. Go check them out and subscribe to Valkyries Courtside Report.
Valkyries Courtside Report — The Golden State Valkyries are your 2026 WNBA Champions!
I don’t know how coherent we were on this pod but @janekennyy, Marisa Ingemi, @joseph_dycus, AND @nathancanilao broke EVERYTHING down from Game 7 from the Gabby Williams’ heater to the post-game celebrations.
PLUS guest appearences from @justdelossantos, @marcusdsmith_ , and @EricApricot!

The WNBA Finals has hit the last ride.
It’s the Dream and Valkyries in San Francisco for Game 7 of the championship series.
USA TODAY is on-site providing LIVE updates on Saturday’s Halloween game. ⬇️

2026 WNBA Finals - Game 7
Valkyries guard Gabby Williams getting some shots up early during pregame.
The Warriors were down 23 points after the 1st quarter. Tied the game at halftime. Led after three quarters.
Now. Golden State lead is up to 10. Still a lot of time left in the game, but a crazy turn of events throughout the game.
9:38 remaining in 4Q.
#Warriors fans dishing out “Luka sucks” chants in late 3rd quarter. Golden State leads LA after 3Q, 85-80.
Warriors seem to be taking control, but expect Lakers to make a run or two in the 4Q.
Things getting spooky on this Halloween eve in the Bay.
As expected, Luka Doncic is booed at Chase Center when Yaxel Lendeborg guarded him. #Warriors crowd even broke out in "Luka sucks" chants.
Lakers jumped out to a 12-2 lead w/ 9:42 in 1Q. Doncic is 1/3 FGs. (1/2 when guarded by Lendeborg) so far.

“It's not just going to be handed to us just because we're at Ballhalla … It's going to be a dogfight.”
The Valkyries had a chance to win it all in Game 6.
Now, for Game 7, they have to regroup.
✍🏾 @marcusdsmith_ has more on how the Valkyries need to find their identity again.

Still thinking about this answer from Nneka Ogwumike about what makes Angel Reese special.
"There's an intrigue, there's an intellect, there's a respect... She wants more. She wants to be challenged. She just wants to be the greatest she can be."
